Batman
Adam West
Adam West was born "Billy West Anderson" in Walla Walla, Washington. As a boy he liked to watch westerns like Hopalong Cassidy and Bob Steele (both of which were his favorite actors).
West graduated from Whitman College with a degree in Literature and Psychology. He married Billy Lou Yeager in his last year of college, who was seventeen at the time. He worked as a DJ at a nearby radio station to help pay for his college tuition. West moved to Hawaii after Carl Hebenstreit, a college buddy, wrote a letter to him. Carl had been the host of a TV show called The Kini Popo Show with his sidekick, Peaches the chimp. Soon after moving to Hawaii, Adam's wife left him because of his busy schedules.
West starred in many films before he was Batman-in some he had big parts, others very small parts. His first film was Voodoo Island in late 1956 where he played a radio operator.
