A MORE INNOCENT
TIME
on some days
more than on others...
i miss the simple
moments of innocence:
when i didn't need
to seek myself -
when i rarely blamed
myself -
when i mostly felt
good about
"me",
and had never met myself
face to face.

I hunger for
a more innocent
time
with a bittersweet
yearning...
but i labor each
new day
with a thirst for
more experience,
for more learning.

"A MORE
INNOCENT TIME"
PAINTING
BY LEE SJOSTROM

POEM FROM AN
ARTIST
maybe tomorrow will
dawn
with a multi-colored
sunrise,
painting our lives
with the Purity
of our Creator...
loving us, and forgiving
our shades of iniquity!
forever grateful
we will be
with our wonderful
gifts -
basking in the hues
and tints
that are all Powerful,
all His
and completely the
essence of
Peace.
maybe it will be
so as it has
been whispered in
the morning breeze.
yes, it will be.
The Spirit of God
is the palette
within each one
of us:
we only have to
pick it up
and paint our lives
from it.

"STILL"
FROM
"WEDNESDAY
OF MY REAL LIFE"
DIRECTOR
OF PHOTOGRAPHY
CARL SJOSTROM
TO CARL
Some of your warmth
seeps into me sometimes without warning...
Often I have to
draw it into me.
Often I don't have
the strength to.
You have the ANSWER
to my existence,
although you don't
know it yet...
I have the answer
to YOUR existence...
But, I have to work
the puzzle pieces more.
I miss the woods
and the kisses outdoors: the innocent
love we then had.
But I love you more
now, and more tomorrow, and
you've been a part
of me
Forever.

"STILL"
FROM
"BIRTHDAY!"
episode 2 of "WEDNESDAY OF MY REAL LIFE"
TO RICK AND CATHY
(on their wedding
day)
For your new future...
I can't give you
a house with a white picket fence.
I can only give
you a "canvas castle"
full of magic music-dreams,
played on paper guitars.
I can paint you
a fantasy sunrise
and a mystical moon...
to always remind
you of the awesome rebirth of each
morning,
and the spiritual
healing of each night.
In the warmest of
hues,
I can color your
life, just a little, with my unconditional
love.
And for you,
the creaky door
to my heart,
and the rusty gate
to my soul
will stay open forever,
even beyond time,
even beyond infinity.

"LEE'S CASTLE"
PAINTING
BY LEE SJOSTROM
The above is not
the "castle" painting I gave to Rick and Cathy for their
wedding, but the sister painting to it. I don't have anything
but a Polaroid of the original painting, which I hope is still
hanging in their home (and not hiding under their bed :)
Although I don't
have a screenplay on this site, I have given them some mention
on
