UNAIRED   First Pilot
The first draft of the Smallville pilot featured Cynthia Ettinger as Martha Kent. When the show finally aired, Cynthia's scenes were reshot with Annette O'Toole. The original version also included some footage that was cut for length and had a lot more music than the version that aired. In the unaired pilot the Kents notice the schoolkids celebrating an apparent victory, just like in the aired pilot. But the script is changed. In the unaired pilot Jonathan says "Looks like Smallville finally won" whereas in the aired pilot he says "Looks like Smallville won again." Apparently Smallville has a much better team now that Martha Kent is played by Annete O'Toole.
