Sharon starred as Sarah, the innocent innkeeper's daughter who is carried off to the Vampire's castle. Once again, she showed a great deal of flair for comedy, and certainly was one of the best things about the film.

Sharon is probably best known for her role as "Jennifer North", the doomed starlet in "Valley of the Dolls". This was her biggest part, and she showed herself equal to the challenge.

Even though the film was panned by the critics, Sharon was certainly noticed and was described as the only performance to come out of the trashy film with any style and credibility intact.

"Sharon got it worse than I did. She was a gentle, gentle creature-you could be mean to her and she would never retaliate. I was crazy about her and I didn't know anyone but our director who wasn't. What's to dislike? She was an exquisately beautiful girl who was so comfortable with her beauty that you weren't intimidated by it. Robson, however, continually treated her like an imbecile, which she definately was not, and she was very attuned and sensitive to that treatment."

Actress Britt Ekland on Sharon:"I'd known Sharon since my Hollywood days with Peter Sellers. She was so lovely, so sweet and young and nice. Everyone who met her loved her and she was so beautiful. I was considered good-looking but beside Sharon I just paled. She was exquisite."

Sharon in the final scene of "The Wrecking Crew" starring Dean Martin. She was described as Martin's sole ally, a bungling and spectacled agent, until the final scenes.

The Hollywood Reporter noted: "In a role that paraphrases Stella Stevens in "The Silencers", Sharon Tate reveals a pleasant affinity to scatterbrain comedy and comes as close to walking away with the picture as she did in a radically different role in "Valley of the Dolls".

Sharon, Roman and Jay Sebring, perhaps Sharon's best friend, he was to die trying to protect her.
