According to Maverick Records, the album is in production, an expected date of June 12, 2001 was released. However, the date as of now is "end of year". In any case, fans across the world are anticipating this new album. Minus the aid of Glen Ballard, Alanis has done it on her own this time. Band members Nick Lashley, Chris Chaney, Gary Novak and Joel Shearer remain onboard this time around. Expect a new sound from Alanis this time around. Alanis Morissette is likely to lose $9-million (all figures U.S.) and her agent, Scott Welch, nearly $6-million after they invested with a New York financial advisor who is now facing criminal charges for stealing his clients' money. Ms. Morissette and Mr. Welch are among dozens of celebrities who entrusted Dana Giacchetto with their investments. Mr. Giacchetto, 37, is charged with misappropriating more than $20-million. He was arrested on Wednesday after violating his bail conditions. Police caught him at the Newark airport in New Jersey with 80 plane tickets to several European cities, $4,500 in cash and a doctored passport. A judge has frozen the accounts of Mr. Giacchetto's company, Cassandra Group, and investigators are now trying to figure out where the money has gone and how much, if any, can be recovered. Court documents show that Ms. Morissette was Mr. Giacchetto's biggest client. The Canadian rock star had a $9-million stock portfolio at Cassandra, according to a December, 1999, financial statement. Mr. Welch, was Cassandra's second-biggest client and had a $5.8-million portfolio. The two portfolios accounted for nearly one-quarter of Cassandra's total assets at the end of last year.
