My trip to Ireland- May4-19, 2006

June 05, 2006

Well, I'm back from my trip to Ireland! It was such a wonderful holiday!!!! Janine took me everywhere. We went on a day trip down the east coast to Wexford. We went to Avoca in Wicklow, were they filmed the TV show Ballykissangel that I watched here in Canada. We went to Glendalough, to see the ruins of a 6th century monastery, which became one of the most renowned centers of learning in Europe. Then we went on a trip of 1356 km, from Dublin to Cork, the Ring of Kerry, Galway, Cliffs of Mohur, County Claire, the Burren Area, and more! While in Cork, we went to Cobh, the last port of call for the Titanic in 1912. She also took me on a day trip to Belfast. That was good trip too. The weather wasn't all bad. At one point of our trip, the temp got up to 23 deg.!! We did, however got soaked on a shopping day in Dublin. I don't know why we didn't take raingear! There was also a bus tour of Dublin that was a lot of fun! I have a ton of pictures, about 30 postcards and a lifetime of memories! I do plan to go back, with my husband. The scenery is beyond words! There are so many different colours of green, and the stone walls...!!!

Here are some of the pictures I took and postcards!
