If you've come to the series late, or just can't figure out who's who, the following may help fill in some of the details. It's incomplete of course, since Seven Days concentrates on action rather than character development. As we learn more about each character, I'll try to update these. If you have something to add, email me with the details. If you're more interested in the actor, just click on their name and you'll jump to the Internet Movie Database for a current listing of their work.
Frank B. Parker
BackStep Pilot Parker has apparently had setbacks in his personal life. We've learned that he was raised in an orphanage while growing up. Parker's need for action and the resulting stint on Hansen Island spelled the end of his marriage to Patricia, who has since remarried. They have a son, Jimmy. During Parker's initial evaluation by the team, Nate Ramsey pointed out that he was a drunk, a gambler and had had problems with authority all his life. His unpredictability and a caustic sense of humor weren't pluses either. Despite those marks against him, Parker beat out the other candidates. His high pain threshold and a photographic memory were qualities the team felt would serve him well. Donovan -- a Navy buddy and now fellow team member --- persuaded the team that Parker was their best choice, saying "When the whip comes down, Parker's gonna be there for you." While on assignment, Parker is referred to as "Conundrum", serial number 923880305. He does not appreciate the confinement to base the project requires (though it has to be better than Hansen Island) and enjoys playing pranks on his chaperones on the rare occasions he is allowed to leave. From their first meeting, Frank has been attracted to beautiful and intelligent Olga Vukavitch, another team member. Because of Frank's overt flirtacious manner, and of course the backstepping, the development of their relationship has suffered a number of setbacks.
Olga Vukavitch
BackStep Science Specialist A defector, Vukavitch is a veteran of a Russian time travel project that resulted in the disappearance of her husband in a failed experiment. When the collapse of communism came, the program was canceled and Vukavitch moved to the U.S. If there were any questions about her loyalty to America, she silenced them by killing her husband when he reappeared and tried to sabotage the BackStep project. Parker's attempts to form a relationship with the fair Ms. Vukavitch are continually thwarted both by her somewhat cool, professional approach to him, and the fact that he often erases some "progress" each time he backsteps. While she remains unaware of where their relationship had gone, she is aware that the backstepping is affecting them personally.
