There is a wall around my heart

I built it stone by stone.

This wall was built with blood and tears

and endless nights alone.

The world is cruel and to survive

I had to guard my heart.

Like Joshua at Jericho

you tore the wall apart.

With a smile and a soft touch

the wall began to fall.

I resisted and even ran

still my heart heard you call.

Who would have thought, one such as you

could break through to my heart.

My soul is light since you came in

and tore the wall apart.
