Paul
Sorvino has established himself in film, theater, television
and, more recently, in opera. He won critical notice for his portrayal
of Henry Kissinger in Oliver Stone's controversial feature "Nixon," and
has appeared in countless other films including Sydney Pollack's "The Firm,"
a notable turn in Martin Scorsese's "GoodFellas," Warren Beatty's "Dick
Tracy" and "Reds," "That Championship Season," "Slow Dancing in the Big
City," "Oh, God," and "The Brinks Job," among many others. He recently
completed the feature "Love Is All There Is" co-directed by husband and
wife team Joe Bologna and Renee Taylor.
Sorvino's
latest motion picture projects are "Money Talks," a comedy also starring
Charlie Sheen; the independent film "American Perfect"; and two as-yet
untitled films -- a thriller starring Jon Voight and Keenan Ivory Wayans,
and a comedy starring, directed and written by Warren Beatty.
On
television, he was a series regular on the popular NBC show "Law &
Order." Other television series include "The Oldest Rookie" and "We'll
Get By," both on CBS. He starred in such telefilms as "Tell Laura I Love
Her," which aired on ABC; "Perry Mason: The Case of the Wicked Wives" and
"Don't Touch My Daughter," both for NBC, as well as the NBC mini-series
"Chiefs" and the ABC movie-of-the-week "It Couldn't Happen to a Nicer Guy."
He appeared on the PBS Great Performances 20th Anniversary Special "The
Last Mile" and hosted the A&E comedy show "An Evening at the Improv."
