At first, I liked this song simply because of the way it sounded, then I started listening to the words and I got out the handy lyric sheet with the cassette and read along. I find it rather poetic. I can't find any practical way to apply this to my life other than the possibility that maybe some people have felt this way about their relationship with me; that in order to achieve what they want they can't have me weighing them down. The best part of the song is at the very end where the chorus is over-lapped with the final verse, I must have listened to the song fifty times before I even realized this, it is done in such a wonderful way. And unlike the rest of the song, I can relate with that ending verse.
