MEDICAL MAYHEM The following is from Blaze.Com

Former Deathrow producer Sam "Sam Sneed" Anderson has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Anderson, who has worked with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Capone & Noreaga, went to the hospital after complaining of migraine headaches. More unfortunately is the fact that Anderson is without medical insurance and cannot afford proper treatment. As a result Sneed and his family are asking fans for support and have opened a treatment fund to pay for his medications. Donations may be sent to:

Sam Anderson Fund
Three Rivers Bank c/o Laura Walker
P.O. Box 3045
McKeesport, PA 15134-3045

I've already sent some money to the fund, and even though it wasn't much, I'm hoping it'll help. If everybody sends just a few dollars each, its sure to add up and will help get Sneed the medical treatment he needs.

In brighter news, it seems that 'Escape From Death Row' (which drops this Tuesday) will be the first in a series of 'Escape From DR' compilations, according to the first single, called "Back On The Smash" which features Kurupt, Tray Dee & female artist Q. Here's exactly what's said, courtesy of tha homie Eddie who wrote it all out:

"This album will be the 1st of many volumes of the compilation series entitled "Escape From Deathrow". The intention of this album is to give the opportunity to young black youths to choose music over a life of crime, imprisonment, or even worse....DEATHROW. The artists involved with this album include Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Soopafly & Tray Dee, hope that through these albums they will give an opportunity to.....ESCAPE FROM DEATHROW. Stay positive, stay strong & celebrate life through music"

Here's yet another Swoop G track to look out for. He has a solo track called "LBC Swoop G" on tha "International Blunt Funk" compilation along wit tha rest of "Tha M.O.B" This came out a couple of years ago but shouldn't be hard to find if you wanna pick it up.

THE STREET IZ A MUTHA The first single by Kurupt & Daz, from Kurupt's upcoming album 'The Street Iz A Mutha' is now up at vidnet.com under their New Videos section! The video is pretty tight from what I could see, and tha actual song is straight pimpin! I can't wait for this album cuz I got a good feeling those not so good 'Kuruption' dayz have been left behind.

IF IT DON'T MAKE DOLLARS... Dogg Pound and LBC Crew promos are now available for purchase from the Singles Section so go check 'em out! Other items still include Snoop, Dre & 2Pac releases.

Here's a couple of tha best tracks from Tech n9nes new album 'The Calm Before The Storm' First up is the dope ass Questions Remix followed up by the new Down South Mix of Planet Rock Tha whole thing is off tha hook... buy it now!

Make sure to peep tha updated Pendant pages for new No Limit, Cash Money & West Coast related items. Check again in a few days for more even more.

Peep the guidelines and instructions right here If you wanna buy any of these tapes do it now whilst its still allowed... all outstanding orders will be sent out ASAP.

Swoop G is featured on the "Tryin 2 Survive In Tha Ghetto 2000" compilation along wit a whole bunch of Bay Area playaz. Be sho ta pick this one up somtime soon.

THIS TYPE OF FLOW Here's some dope unreleased exclusives ta check out! First off we got Soopaflys latest cut This Type Of Flow from his upcoming album 'Like It Or Not'. Fly puts down some good vocals over a dope beat, and even though its not the best track he's ever done its still hella tight! Next up is one of the 3 Michel'le Hang Tyme remixs. This ones got some slight differences and uses the notorious Skandalouz beat. Finally here's tha Still Ballin' original by Yukmouth and tha Outlawz, who never showed up on tha album version. Enjoy y'all!

Dre & Snoop will be in Hawaii next week for their reunion concert. I can't make it myself so if you hear anything more about it be sure ta let me know!

Tha upcoming compilation 'Escape From Death Row' I reported on earlier is now listed at Cdnow and will be released at the end of the month. Pre-order it right here right now!

THA LATEST SOUND Here's some dope new soundz ta ride to. First off we got tha DPG collaboration Hell Ya which is straight off tha hook, followed up by a tight Spice 1, Outlawz track called Hail Of Bullets Finally tha Luniz and Crooked I (Death Row's newest inmate) got a nice new hit called Girl I especially like the computer voice chrous on this one. Check 'em out!

Speakin' of new tracks, here's a clip of TQ's latest called Get Away It features Krayzie Bone and is on the Blue Streak Soundtrack.

Kurupt is on The Source's Hip-Hop Music Awards album, which drops this Tuesday. He's is the only new song on there so I don't know how good the album will be.

Here's another Swoop G track to try an find. I just heard he wuz featured on Kola's '97 album "Fluidly I Approach" on tha song "From The East Side" along with Hit from LBC & Bart from 3X Krazy. I'll put this up if I get it any time soon.

I wanna give a shout out 2 my homie Eddie who's been helping me out with some of my newz recently. Go peep his dope site called West Coast Mobbin' and show your surport!

ESCAPE FROM DEATH ROW
(2nd Update) Amazon.com have a new album coming out on August 31st called 'Escape From Death Row' which looks to feature Bad Azz, Soopafly, Kurupt, Rbx and possibly the Low Lifes too. Click here right away to order it and see the track listing. I'm not sure what this is yet, I just hope its not a dis album. Whatever it is, I'm gon' place my order right now!

I've just been looking for some more info on this new album, and managed to find it listed in several online music stores. Now check this out... the performers are; Daz, Soopafly, Kurupt, Tray-D, Bad Azz, RBX, Hit, Young Life, Crooked I, Silva Satin, Lil C-Style, Costie, Q, Lil Jay, Ebony-E, Cognac, and Ruff Dogg. I found this out over at CDUniverse if you wanna check it out. This new guest list still doesn't make it clear whether its a dis album or not, though I'm thinkin' its not. Label wise Island and Private I music have been listed but not Death Row. Maybe Island are handling distribution though, I'm not sure just yet. I guess we jus' gotta wait an c what happens with this one.

DEATH ROW DPG'Z Tha Dogg Pound appeared on BET's Rap City yesterday & spoke up on new projects, album release dates and a whole lot more... check it out;

Almost everybody showed up for the show last night, which took place on the video shoot for Kurupt's first single from his new album. The video was directed by Daz and G- Bone, and showed Daz, Soopafly and Kurupt foolin' on an old car. Major playaz present included Daz, Soopafly, Kurupt, Bad Azz & XZibit. Albums plans were discussed, including the likelihood of completely remaking Kurupt's upcoming album from scratch. Even the title is set to change. Also on the set, the same playaz (and some kid called Peanut) put down a dope freestyle session, which I wish I'd seen.

Soopaflys album, still entitled 'Like It Or Not' should now drop in mid to late September, and will as fly put it, be his 'first and last album with Death Row'. Now you could take this tha wrong way thinking he's set to leave the Row all together, but I'm thinkin' his referring to the newly formed DPG Records and his future as a part of it.

Daz has plans to release the long awaited 'What It Iz' movie soundtrack and the new Dogg Pound album 'Daz & Kurupt, Kurupt, & Daz' in the near future. He gave no word if it will be released on Death Row or not, but once again I'm thinkin' DPGR.

No dises or bad words were thrown towards tha Row which is defiantly a good thing considering everything that's gon down over past months. I can feel a DPG Records breakaway coming soon which should mean albums will be liable for problem free releases. Unfortunately no further information regarding Suge's release date was discussed.

In other newz there's still consideration over a video for 2Pac's 'Who Do You Believe In' to aid the Chronic 2000 promotion. If this is true I hope its put out as soon as possible.

Talking of videos another possibility will be for 'They Wanna Be Like Us' with YGD, Tha Realist and Doobie. I gotta say they've been real slow to move on this, but like they say, better late than never. Let's hope they all act now and get something done.

I wanna clear up some things with the new Japanese 2Pac import album 'Here After' If your thinking of buying it, then DON'T! I heard it all last week and its WAK! I couldn't hear Pac's voice in the first tracks and in the ones I could his vocals sounded real old and kinda amateur. Even the booklet was all in Japanese. The best tracks are 'Never Say Never' and West Coast' The worst are the rest. Like I said, don't waste your money!

British RnB group Another Level & TQ have a new song out called "summertime" which uses 2Pac and the oultawz unreleased Play Your Cards Right. beat. I know TQ's got a lot of respect for Pac, so I guess this is the one time its cool.

I received a translation for the Romanian Rap song (which copied Pac's Made Niggaz Beat) that I put up last week. I'm told "Tupeu de Borfas" means impudence thief, and the songs about life in the ghetto, and the usual problems with money and girls.

FAKE AZZ BITCHEZ
(Modified Update) Tha big playa Nate at Death Row informed me that the recent album track list goin' round for the 'Still I Rise' album is 100% fake. Tha truth is the real track list is still yet to be made. In fact I just heard from my homie Jory that it won't even be a 2Pac/Outlawz album, but just tha Outlawz on their own. Its easy ta say now, but I never believed that list was real... I mean why tha hell would Dre be a part of it after everything that's gon down!?

A 5 track CD sampler of Bad Azz's upcoming album "Personal Business" called "Priority 2000 - Heat" has made its way to a number of stores world-wide. One of the tracks is 'Tha Last Time' featuring Lil Beau, which appeared on his last album. I haven't seen any copies around yet, so be sho ta holla at me if your lucky enough 2 find it! Speakin of Bad Azz, he also had an interview recently in a magazine called "Kronick".

Daz is featured on T.M.A.C.N.'s 1st single called "Thats Alrite". The album should be out soon. Talkin' of Daz I heard he's still on the Row right now and hasn't left like a lot of us believed. Can somebody pleaze tell me what'z goin' on!?!?

Swoop G is featured on 2 tracks off 3X Krazy's new CD "Imortalized". Tha tracks are "Murder & Kamikaze" & "Panties N A Bunch" I got Krazy's earlier album 'Stackin' Chips' which is off tha hook! Be sho ta pick this up as soon as you can.

Da 5 Footaz have a new track on the "Organized Rhymes" compilation, called "Organizin" If anybodys heard this yet, let me know what ya think.

Snoop & Kurupt are featured in a new video documentary called "Straight From The Streets" which is in stores now. Find it & buy it!

Talk bout bitin'... check out Tupeu De Borfash by Romanian band 'La Familia'. Now play 2Pac's 'Made Niggaz'... sound familer!? Damn I'm surprised their not on No Limit! If there's any Romanian doggz reading this, pleaze mail an let me know what their saying.

Why stop there wit' tha bitin'!? I heard wack ass White Dawg & Black Haze have made a song together called 'Scraten Up' which has got pac's style all over it. Like my homie Chris said, 'Wak Dawg needs to be put down'.

Mopreme has a solo track on Mac Mall's Compilation "Mallenium" called "Mac-a-frama-lama". Yukmouth also has a track called "Regime Life" with Mac Mall & Ray Luv, finally Ray Luv has a track called "The Day The World Ended".

Tha track from Frost's new album that features Snoop is called "For The Black & Brown". I haven't heard it yet, but I'm sure its good.

G2 COMIN' THROUGH A while bacc some bitch hacked into my audio account and deleated a whole lotta songs. Anyway it took some time, but here's almost all of them bacc, this time in G2 quality. Tha homies Jory & G-Locc are reporting on Death Row and Dogg Pound concerts that recently went down, which both sounded dope. I hope they keep on rollin'!

According to the G-Funk Page Warren G's new album 'I Want It All' is set to drop on October 12th. Amongst others the album will feature Tha Dogg Pound, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg & El DeBarge. I can't wait!!! Read tha full report at the GFP.

It seems that everybody everywhere is gettin' hyped about an August 17th release date for tha 2Pac/Outlawz album. I heard its been listed all around, including Billboard and the Samgoody magazine. Personaly I'm finding it hard to believe it'll come out this soon, as there hasn't been a single advert anywhere! I got my doubts, but maybe I'll be surprised!?

Check out the tightly re-designed Death Row 2000 site which has recently come out with some dope exclusives! Also check out the new Outlawz Death Row Page which just started up.

Mac Shawn will be featured on the Murder Dog Magazine compilation "Northern Lights - A Taste Of The Great Northwest" It'll also host a number of dope groups/artists including, The Click, Spice 1, Yukmouth, Dru Down & 3XKrazy.

MTV recently played "Changes" as part of their special "Scared Straight '99" show. They used it as the final song that played over the credits. It's good to see MTV recognize the significance of Tupac's work and existence.

Talking of MTV, make sure to tune in all this week to catch TQ host MTV "Jams Countdown" The show airs everyday at 3:30 - 4:30 a.m., 7:30 - 8:30 a.m., and 5:00 - 6:00 p.m.

In case you never knew, the Outlawz were featured on bay area rapper, Cool-E's 1997 album "Funk Fo' Life" on a track called "Games". I heard both this & Cool's '99 are dope, so check 'em out if you see 'em.
