FEBRUARY 1999

RETALIATION, REVENGE AND NEW TRACKS A'ight here we go wit' a triple dose of unreleased Daz related exclusives! First off Y'all gotta check out this ill solo joint by Daz called Niggaz Killin', which is complete with a bomb ass beat! All these tracks are pre-Mobstyle so it's pretty unlikely they'll come out under 'em... or even under the Row for that! I think it's dope how Daz kept he's best shit apart from his slightly weaker tracks... (which are still dope, just not album quality) leaving them unreleased, unlike a lot of artists who play it tha other way. Next up check out "Tremendous Odds" by Tha Dogg Pound. Most of you'll recognise this track straight away, thinking about a recently released DPG related track. This version was made before the other and is the complete DPG original! I think the re-make came out pretty tight, but I gotta say I like this one a lot better! Compare the two by clicking here afterwards (to play the released version), or if you don't make the connection. Finally here'z a second Daz solo called "The Name And The Rep". I don't like this as much as the killin' track, but it's still tight.. just a little weak music wise. Maybe it'll be updated and released like Tremendous Odds, and Fresh!?! Maybe not. Now jus' sit' bac an enjoy those classic Death Row sounds!

I keep hearin' that "Snoop Dogg's Greatest Hits" is going to be replaced by "Snoop Dogg's & Dr. Dre's Greatest Hits, where the best of each artist will be placed alongside around eight previously unreleased tracks. If it does come out, and unreleased material is included I'm sure it'll sell. Especially if there anything like the dope ass unreleased cuts The Foeground put up a little while back. If not, I can't see many copies leaving the stores.

2Paconline.com reports that MTV will soon be putting on an hour long Death Row special called "Life on Death Row" which will examine the Death Row story, and its controversial leader, Suge Knight. It should air on March 13 at 6 p.m. (ESP) so watch it if you can.. get the VCR set up too! The long-awaited special will take viewers back to the beginnings of the label and examine the events leading up to the east-west rivalry, Tupac Shakur's death and Suge Knight's eventual imprisonment. Don't miss it!

Here'z the latest batch of tracks goin' out on request. First off the original version of Snoop's Murder Was The Case as requested by Top Dogg. I saw MWTC video a while back, an I gotta say it was pretty tight! If you can find it (and don't already have it) go buy it. If your still having trouble finding Midnite Love (as requested by Ian.M) take a trip to tha store, where you can order the "Doggfather" CD single which has this, Tha Doggfather Remix (real dope), and the Rocc an roll remix of Snoop Bounce on it.

LIKE IT OR NOT It looks like Soopafly's solo album "Like It Or Not" is in it's final stages, and is getting ready for a Death Row release! Snoop's set to appear on a track called "Whooptee Whoop," Richie Rich on "Never Be Another," Kurupt on "Way Too Often" and Daz on "Get Me In Your World." Bounce to Sonicnet.com to read the report which names a few of the other tracks set to be included . They don't mention Big Pimpin' 3, which I thought was gonna be on there but with space for more tracks it still might be on there. Y'all know how dope Soopafly is, so it's dope to find out he's albums gonna be under Death Row. So that's news on one upcoming album listed in the 2Pac Greatest Hits booklet.. now were just waiting on Inside Out, Top Dogg, Tha Realest, Danny Boy... you know tha story!

2Pac's Changes single has reached number 3 in the UK charts and is still selling strong. It's selling well over the rest of Europe too, especially in Holland where it entered the charts at number 1, which has only happened 5 times before in it's 35 year history! Let's hope it says there for a while longer. Props to 2Paconline for finding that out. They recently put some new 2Pac tracks, which y'all ought to check out. The first cuts called They Dont Give a Fuck About Us and is nothing like any other track I've heard (not just a re-make). Also make sure to peep Wanted Dead or Alive Still Not a Player Mix which is kinda dope! There's also a 'Pain' remix but it's pretty much the same as the original.

I got word that the "Star Profile" Snoop CD I earlier reported is an interview CD based on Snoop's life and his stardom. Apparently Star Profile brings out albums from all different artist and actors and Snoop just happened to be one of those included. I'm still not sure if this has been released yet, but it might be worth picking up if you find it someplace.

Here'z a few tracks goin' out to M.Jory as requested. First off Catching Feelings by 2Pac which is tight, but just a little too short. Next up Bow Down by The Westside Connection.. Ice Cube, Mack 10 and W.C. You might also wanna check out The Gangsta, The Killa and The Dope Dealer if you don't have it, cuz it's dope ass too! Both of these are from their 1996 album "Bow Down" which is blazin', an If you ain't got it, go get it! Remember if you got a request get it to me an I'll see what I can do.

MORE SNOOP!?! Amazon.Com have a Snoop CD entitled "Star Profile", which they current list as "Not Yet Released". It has a year 2000 release date set, and a low $11 price, indicating that it isn't the upcoming Greatest Hits album - which supposedly being a double would cost a lot more. Click right Here to take a look yourself. Hit me up if you've got some info on this.

I was sent a lil' somethin' from the "The Sun Magazine" a short while back which opened my eyes at little at first. Click right here to peep a black and white photo in Times Square, taken on New Years Eve 1998... which supposedly captured Tupac's image. A few things don't quite make sense though. Like why is he the only black guy in the crowd?? Also his 'straight face' expression looks out of place for the scene. Take a look to see what I mean. The magazine made a huge mistake though, as they used the SAME picture of Tupac in colour (on his own without the crowd) on the front cover of the SAME magazine!!! I later found out that the Tupac photo was taken back in 1993, around the time he released his debut album "2Pacalypse Now". Thanx goes out to Bishop for sending this my way.

Snoop's Dogghouse reports a June release date for the upcoming Chronic 2000 album, re-named late last year to "The Chronic 2000 (Still Smokin')". Watch out for Snoop, Kurupt, Hitman, Eminem, and Ice Cube to be included on the guest list.

I don't know if y'all noticed Tha Store section that I recently added to this site, but I've just finished expanding it with the inclusion of Death Row CD's and Records. They include promo's, single and albums, ranging from the old days to recent releases. Once again I'm just acting as an advertiser so I don't deal with sales. I just wanna reassure any of you feeling uneasy about ordering, that everybody I deal with is legit and this isn't some shady operation to pimp people. Go take a look around, and see what you might like!

Don't forget to place an order for Yukmouth's debut album "Thugged Out", getting ready for a February 23RD release date. Guests include Daz and Kurupt on the song 'My Buddy', the Outlawz, Scarface and of course Numskull. Peep the track listing right here, and remember it's now available to order from CDnow.com. Let's just hope it actually comes out this time after those earlier delays!

WHERE RHYTHM IS LIFE... Here'z a few G Funk related tracks y'all might enjoy. I realise most of you have either got or heard most of these, but I wanna bring 'em anyway as there worth checking again. First off here'z the Regulate Remix from the Warren G single This D.J. as requested by Bloody-71. Hope you enjoy it G! There's also a This D.J. Remix included on the single which is just as good. What's next??? A'ight I'm guessing you've all heard Warren G and Nate Dogg's "Annie Mae" from Warren G's last album, but I'm also guessing you haven't heard this alternative version. The Annie Mae Remix has the same vocals as before but this time around uses Prince's Darling Niki beat instead of the original. Take a listen as it's actually kinda tight! To finish up with G Funk wise, check out this dope track by the Dove Shack called We Funk (The G Funk) from their 1995 album "This Is The Shack ". This isn't the same track as their 'We Funk, G Funk' from the low rider, volume 10 compilation, it's just strange how they've got such similar names! Props to Jesse G at The G-Funk Family for the low down on that. Make sure to visit his site for tha latest G Funk news and to peep a recent report on Nate Dogg and Warren G, who look to be appearing on Dr. Dre's upcoming Chronic 2000 album! If you want to you can listen to the A Cappella version too which is dope in it's own way.

It seems that an interview by the source with Kurupt recently took place. As well as discussing Kurupts new label and recently released "Kuruption" album, they also talked about upcoming Dogg Pound projects on Death Row. The DPG plan to release an EP called Aftershock as well as their Dogg Shit album which will follow later. This is definitely good news on two levels. First off Death Row look set to stay in the game playin' hard once again, and we've got not 1 but 2 Dogg Pound releases to look forward to! Props go out to G-Locc for finding this. You can peep his dope site in the Links section.

I hope you've got your speakers up high cuz here'z a few more tracks that you just gotta play loud! First off check out Real Bad Boys by Dee and 2Pac which is based on the classic "Bad Boy's" song. I don't think this track will ever be released anywhere. It seems like another of those destined to stay locked up someplace! Next make sure to Hit The Floor when you play this dope remix. It's much like the original except it seems a little longer and slower. There's some minor changes too, which make it well worth checking out! Finally I wanna finish up with another of those world-wide unreleased exclusives. This time around it's by Bad Ass and is called No Hope. You wouldn't believe how dope this track is until you've played it!!! Seriously, this is one of the tightest Bad Ass songs I've ever heard alongside 'We Be Puttin It Down' with Snoop and 'Ghetto Star' with 2Pac. I just don't understand why they left it off of his album??? Props go out to Niggabyte and Tony Best for hooking me up with this back in September. Oh yeah, you might have seen it at DRHQ but you know it's not their's... just like Fresh and Street Scholars. I just wanna say "Fuck you" to whoever hooked up DRHQ behind my back breaking our arrangement. Go eat a big fat dick biayytch!
