Pallas Diner, Route 73, Berlin. Pallas is open 24 hours, and everything is very good. There is good juke, and good onion soup (very melty cheese.) The waitress called us hippies, but she was really nice. I guess we belong in Woodstock, man.

PB's Diner, Route 47 North (Delsea Drive,) Glassboro. This is another one that's hard to judge because I've been there too many times, but generally, the best part of PB's is that the wait-staff is very friendly. The food is pretty good, but the place is kind of boring considering the college town setting. They have a smoking room, a non-smoking room, and a restroom. (no juke)

Phily Diner, Black Horse Pike (Route 168 South,) Runnemede. This is another one I frequent often, but that's because there is no question that it is one of the best. There is neon and glass everywhere, and a car parked in the lobby. It has this "awake at 3:30 in the morning" feeling to it. The place is alive. The food is pretty good, and the wait-staff is pleasantly cheeky. I like diners.

Phoenix II Diner, Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland. This place had great omelets, but it was kind of creepy because the place was so dead. They had literature about becoming born again in the bathroom, but all in all, I liked the place.

Point Diner, MacArthur Boulevard and Circle Drive, Somers Point. The omelets were fluffy and perfect. The juke boxes were high-tech and expensive, but they were really good quality. The guy who came to take the money from the juke boxes even gave us a couple dollars in quarters just so we could try ours out. The wait-staff was sassy, fun and just plain slap-happy. I like this diner.
