These pictures were taken at the height of Stealhead season on the_______ river in Beautiful_______,Oregon. (Just try and fill in the blanks. If it were up to me, I really would tell you! But the conditions of the pictures were not to tell. soooooo.. sorry!
Nonetheless if you travel to Oregon to fish, you will be in for the treat of your life.. Lots of big Steelhead, Sturgeon and Salmon, my three favorite "S" words... Except if I lose one, then you might hear another "S" word....

I was on the Necanicum river the other day, fishing by myself, with my brand new lami rod and a new reel that is so pretty you could wear it around your neck as a necklace, and it was a beautiful sunny day... Just dangling a brand new 6 dollar lure in a great rip... lost the lure to a snag, but retrieved it next cast, so I put it back on, and tried one last time... BAM! FISH ON!!! I fought that fish for about 30 minutes, great big, chrome, unclipped wild steelie.... I ran down the bank chasing it trying to adjust the drag as I stumbled over fallen trees and tried to keep the rod tip up! Anyway, after a long fight, I got him back to home base, grabbed the net, (MY dog decided it would be a great idea to help out by dancing on the net whilst I fumbled!) put the rod over my back and reached out for the fish, and the net clipped the lure..:( Bye Bye Mr Steelhead.bye bye....) oh I was so ummm TICKED!!!! Not only because I lost this fish, but because he swam away with my 6 dollar lure. Guess he got me!
