Usagi introduced Yuuko to the other girls.
At first, they were all surprised for Yuuko resemblance to Eudial, but then they got used to the idea that she was a completely different girl.
They were all at Rei's temple and eating Makoto's biscuits.
Usagi looked very happy: "Vacations will begin tomorrow! I'm so happy: no school for a whole week!"
"By the way, Usagi," Minako said "did you introduced Yuuko to Silver? If he should meet her, he'd be shocked..."
Usagi looked sad: "Yes, I did. I talked to him before showing him Yuuko, but he was very shocked when he saw her... Silver said that he'd prefer not to see Yuuko anymore...It's too sorrowful for him..."
She was interrupted by Yuuko's cry.
The girl was near Mimete and she was sobbing. The witch looked embarrassed.
"Mimet! What did you to Yuuko?!"
Mimet blushed: "Well, nothing special...I just gave her some snails...I couldn't know that she'd be frightened in that way... Eudial used to yell at me for this, I just wanted to joke..."
"Mimet, you must remember that Yuuko is not Eudial! She isn't strong and brave as our friend was!" Rei said in a reproaching tone "And you, Yuuko, stop sobbing! They were only snails! I'm sure Mimete didn't want to scare you so much, so make peace now!"
Mimete apologized: "I'm sorry, Yuuko...I won't give you other snail, it's a promise!"
Yuuko wiped her tears and weakly smiled to the witch: "That's O.K. It's my fault too, I'm a coward..."
"Well, now that all is quiet again, we could decide what to do tomorrow..."
The phone rang. Rei answered and called Usagi: "Hey, come here, it's Mamoru!"
Usagi's eyes transformed into hearts and rushed towards the phone.
After a while she came back. She seemed to be in complete joy: "Mamoru said that one of his friends, that old noble English man who lives in that castle on the hill, invited us to a ball. Even Yuuko can come with us!"
"Hey, wasn't he one of Eudial's victims?" asked Tellu.
Viluy elbowed her pointing at Yuuko: "Keep silent!" she whispered "She doesn't know about our nature..."
Luckily the girl was listening to Usagi's words and didn't heard Tellu.
Suddenly Yuuko startled and looked at her watch: "I've to go now, or my parents will worry!"
"Wait!" Usagi said "We'll accompany you home!"
"Don't worry, thank you. I'd prefer to stay alone for a while..."
She walked out.
Yuuko entered the park.
She sat on a bench and quietly sighed: "Please, Usagi, girls, forgive me..."
Suddenly she felt that she wasn't alone in the park: on the top of a little hill there was a man sitting with his back leant to a big tree.
The girl gasped: "Silver!" she thought "And he's sitting in the place were we'd been so many times in the past. Forgive me, Silver. I can't tell you that I remember I'm Eudial, now. Not yet!"
She slipped behind the tree, without being seen and looked at the man: he had tears in his eyes and was holding his head in his hands.
Eudial repressed a sob.
After a while, Silver stood up and went away.
When she was sure that Silver was far, Eudial dropped herself to the ground: "Forgive me! Please, forgive me!" she sobbed.
She took the blue crystal in her hands: "Quartz! Quartz! Please, help me, I need you!"
The crystal enlightened and a warm light wrapped Eudial.
"I'm here, honey." a voice from the crystal said.
"Quartz! That's really you?"
"Of course I am. I promised I'd always been near you. Why are you crying, honey?"
"When Mr. and Mrs. Arimura found me I lost my memory and they let me believe that I was their daughter. I got the memory back after a few days, but I preferred to pretend I was Yuuko.
But now that I've seen again Silver and the girls, it's so sorrowful..."
"Why are you pretending to be Yuuko? You could just go and say that you're Eudial..."
"No, I've something to do first!"
"Aren't you thinking of taking revenge on your brothers, I hope?"
"Yes."
"You can't! I don't want you to revenge my death! I'm happy to see you alive, honey..."
"I'm not going to do that only to revenge your death. I want to punish them for all the bad things they did to me. And I don't want them to cause other victims! Please, try to understand my feelings, Quartz! If you love me, you can't stop me!"
"Eudial, you've no hopes against them...They'll kill you. I don't want you to die!"
"That's why I'm pretending to be Yuuko. I want to improve my powers in secret."
"But you could tell your identity to your friends..."
"No, they think I'm on Tau Ceti and I'm well, now. If I should die in the battle against Sarcolite and Dioptasio, they'll find Yuuko's body and they will think she's only another victim of them. They won't suffer for Yuuko death so much as they would suffer for my death...
I didn't want to become Usagi's friend as Yuuko. That's why I was acting a weak, silly and crybaby person...But I undervalued Usagi pure heart: she could make friend with anyone..."
"Please, honey, promise me that you will be careful and won't fight your brothers unless you're sure you can beat them."
"Yes, don't worry, I don't want to die. I want to train and became a Doom's Warrior! I know I can!"
"I'm sure that with the help of the blue-quartz crystal you can succeed. I think you can already transform in a Doom's Warrior, but I feel that you can't still use those new powers."
"I'll get used to keep the transformation for a longer time than now and slowly I'll learn even how to use powers too. Thank you Quartz. I feel better now that I know I'm not alone..."
"You'll never be alone, honey. Now I think you should go home, it's late..."
"O.K. bye, then...Quartz!"
"What's up?"
"I love you..."
"I love you too, honey."
The light in the crystal went down and Eudial put the chain around her neck again.
She walked home.
