*********************************************************** FSC Memories Part 4: Like a lighthouse. *********************************************************** Shin-E appeared in the Nega-Post Office. The three sisters looked at her: the Mailbox was badly battered and was leaning herself to the Silver Staff. "I'm sorry... I failed..." she said, then she fell to the ground. Lalia walked to her side. "She's wounded... are we going to use the healing machine?" Hiryu rushed into the room and landed near Shin-E. He gently shook her arm. "Eugy! Wake up please!" Iry looked at the twin sister. "Are her wounds very serious? Can she survive even without the healing machine?" Lalia nodded. "Yes, but..." Iry stopped her with a gesture of the hand. "We won't use it, then. You should know that using the healing machine is too expensive. We'd lose more than half of the energy we collected till now." Lalia looked concerned. "But she'll suffer..." "Oh, shut up, Lalia," Ikari said "We're the villains here! Why should we care if a simple Mailbox suffers?!" Lalia looked at her sisters and sighed. "OK, I'll take her to her room, then..." "No, I'll do it." Hiryu said. The sisters sweatdropped then began laughing. "YOU, little one?" Ikari asked. Hiryu turned to his human form and lifted Eugeal. "Yes, me." he answered and walked out of the room. The girls stared at him, then Lalia followed him. Hiryu carefully put Shin-E on the bed. The girl was still unconscious and seemed to be in pain. He caressed her red hair and gently kissed her. "Poor Eugy...Don't worry, darling, I'm here... I promise you I'll find a way to help you..." Lalia entered the room. She was holding Shin-E's Silver Staff. Lalia put the staff in a corner and looked at Hiryu. "I'm sorry. I wanted to use the healing machine, but I couldn't..." Hiryu sighed. "That's OK, thanks for trying..." he glanced at Shin-E "Are you sure she'll be well?" Lalia nodded. "Yes, her wounds are bad, but not deadly. Why do you care for her so much?" "I love her." Lalia giggled and shook her head. "Love? How silly! Mailboxes don't have feelings! Loving a Mailbox is like loving a computer!" "She had feelings before you turned her in a Mailbox!" "Oh, when she had been turned into a Mailbox, our computer wiped everything useless out of her brain..." "Love can't be destroyed by a machine. It would be too horrible..." Lalia shrugged. "Believe what you prefer, but she can't turn back in the person she was before we found her. Shin-E will never remember your love. She'll see you as her pet forever. Will you still love her then?" "She is still my Eugeal and I'm sure I can save her. I won't give up." "Oh, sure, sure. Now let me see if I can ease her pain.." Lalia put a hand on Shin-E forehead. Her fingers began glowing. After a while, she stopped and stood up. "She's sleeping now. She won't feel pain until she wakes up." "Wait!" Lalia looked at Hiryu. "What do you want?" "I have a question now. Why do YOU care so much for a Mailbox? You had no reason to help her, but you did. Why?" Lalia blinked. She looked confused. "I...I don't know..." she rushed out of the room. Hiryu turned in his four inches form and sat on the pillow, very near to Eugeal's face. He touched a little scratch on her face and began using his power to heal it. "So the Mailbox of the Nega Mail is actually Eugeal..." Wendy said "I still can't believe it..." "Maybe I understood what happened..." Viluy said. The other witches, Wendy, Christine and Prof. Chronos looked at her. "What?" "According to data on my computer, when Sailor Saturn used her attack and Eugeal tried to shield it, when the two energy fields created by the two scouts destroyed each the other, the energy of the attacks became light. The Nega Mail spaceship, might have followed it to reach the planet..." "Like a lighthouse?" Mimet asked. The others sweatdropped. Viluy nodded. "Yes, like a sort of giant lighthouse..." Tellu shrugged. "I prefer greenhouses..." Everyone fell down sweatdropping. "And they arrived on Earth and caught Eugeal," Eudial continued "and they probably brainwashed her, then they went away before the light disappeared, that's why we didn't see the space ship..." "We have to find their head quarter and set Eugeal and Hiryu free..." Wendy said. "I'm afraid it won't be easy.." Tellu said "Now Eugeal thinks to be Mailbox Shin-E..." "And I can't find them on the computer..." Viluy added. "We don't even know how Nega Mail people look like, we only met Eugeal as Shin-E..." Eudial sighed. "I just hope I didn't hurt her too much... I was about to kill her!" "Come on, Eudial, you couldn't know that she was Eugeal, she was acting just like an usual Monster of the Day(tm)...and she was even talking without her Italian accent..." Wendy said. Eudial stood up. "But she was Eugeal! And how could we know if all the other monsters we defeated had friends or a family? If they wanted to live?! It wasn't their fault if they were monsters! If this is the meaning of being a sailor scout, well, I don't want to be one of them anymore!" she threw the Sweatdrops Wand on the table and walked out of the room. Idea barked. "Wait! You can't..." Idea was about to follow her, when Cyprine opened a book and showed it to the dog. "Idea, read here!" The dog stared at the book, then at the witch. "What do I have to read?" Cyprine closed the book. "Nothing, silly." Idea growled. "Why did you stop me then?" "She wanted..." Cyprine began. "...to stay alone." Pikuroll continued. Viluy sighed. "The author is recycling scenes again..." "However, I think she said that because she's still upset." Wendy said to the dog. Mimet took the wand. "If she doesn't want anymore, can I be Sailor Kurohoshi?" "Mimet, you're already Sailor Star Helper...and I'm sure she'll change her mind. I'll keep her wand for her." Wendy took the Sweatdrop Wand. "It's no fair..." Mimet mumbled. "I want an upgrade..." Tellu put a dish on the table. "Here, take some cookies instead..." Mimet giggled and forgot the wand immediately. Everyone sweatdropped. Hiryu looked at the girl that was sleeping near him. He worked hard to heal most of her wounds before she woke up. She turned in the bed and opened her eyes. Eugeal looked at Hiryu. "Darling!" she said in her usual Italian accent "What happened? Did I stop Saturn?" She closed her eyes again. Hiryu gasped. "Eugy! You had your memory back?!" She looked at him. "Why do you keep calling me that? I told you my name is Shin-E!" Hiryu sweatdropped. "Well, at least now I know that I was right...Eugeal soul is still there. and she's slowly awakening..." he thought. He jumped on her lap. "I'm happy to see you woke up, Shin-E. How do you feel?" Shin-E sat on the bed. "I don't know...I don't feel bad, but I've a strange feeling..." "Really?" "Yes, it's as if something is missing inside me...something I should remember...But probably it's because I'm still weak..." "What are we going to do now?" Ikari said "Our Mailbox can't work now. And we found out that she can be defeated...We can't rely on her if we want a victory." Iry took a cookie from the dish on her desk. "No way I'm going to fight against humans to get their energy. Pretending to work at the Nega Post Office is enough for me. We'll have to make other Mailboxes." "But how?" Lalia asked "Kidnapping humans could be more dangerous for us than draining their energies..." "Why to kidnap a human if we already have a perfect potential Mailbox?" "Really? Who?" "Hiryu." Ikari sweatdropped. "And you think that little alien could be a good Mailbox?" Iry nodded. "He can turn to human size, remember? And then he and Shin- E can go and capture other humans. We'll have soon a powerful army! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Lalia looked concerned, but she didn't talk. Ikari looked at Iry. "When will we turn him in a Mailbox?" Iry glanced at the computer. "Tomorrow. The machines will be ready tomorrow morning." End of Part 4
