                   SNAIL REVENGE Part 4
           (Sorry, out of X-Files quotations...)

Professor Chronos read again the sheet of paper he was 
holding. He glanced at Eudial and Silver: they were sitting 
on one of  Chronos' old devices and the witch was leaning 
her head on Silver's shoulder. She looked concerned.
The professor dropped some drops of a green liquid in a 
test tube then looked at the paper again.
He turned towards them. 
Silver and Eudial stood up.
Silver put an arm around Eudial's waist "So, Doc, what are 
the results of analysis on Eudial's blood?"
Chronos looked at them, then he smiled at the witch "Don't 
worry, Eudial, that substance Eugeal used on you isn't 
dangerous. It only weakened you."
The witch looked relieved "But why did I obey to Eugeal 
commands?"
"Probably she hypnotized you. Now go home and try to sleep, 
you need to rest..."
Eudial nodded and walked out of the room.
Silver was about to follow her, but Chronos put a hand on 
his shoulder to stop him, then he closed the door of the 
room.
"What's up, Doc?"
Silver turned towards  him: the professor looked very sad.
Silver felt a sudden shiver running down his back. He 
grabbed Chronos and looked in his eyes.
"Chronos! What's wrong with Eudial's tests?! Is she in 
danger?!!"
The professor slowly shook is head "I lied. She's not well, 
she's not well at all. Her DNA is slowly changing..."
Silver stared at him "What?!"
"It is becoming similar to the DNA of youma, but it also 
has some aspects of demon's one..."
"Do you mean that Eudial is becoming a sort of demon-youma 
hybrid?!"
Chronos sighed "No if her DNA keeps changing, she will die. 
Then her body will turn into a demon."
Silver dropped himself on a chair. "Chronos, help her, I 
beg you! There must be something you can do to save 
Eudial..."
The professor sadly looked at him "I could try to make an 
antidote, but it will take days and I doubt that Eudial can 
survive until it's ready...Eugeal is the only one who could 
tell us how to save her, but she ran away..."
Silver stood up "I'll find her! I'll do everything possible 
to save my love!"
"That couldn't be so easy. If she wanted to kill her 
cousin, she would have done it last night...maybe there  
was an error in her formula and she couldn't be able to  
make an antidote..."
Silver shivered.
 "Don't say such things! I'll save her!" he screamed, then 
is voice trembled with sorrow "But, in any case, whatever 
is going to happen, never, never tell Eudial the truth!"


Eudial leant against the door of the lab. She could barely 
restrain herself from screaming.
"I..I'm going to die..." she said to herself in shock 
"...and I'm going to die because my cousin poisoned me..."
She heard a sound coming from the lab and she realized that 
someone was about to open the door. She teleported in her 
room and shut the door, then she sat on her bed, trembling.
She hugged the pillow and began to sob.
"Hey, witch! Why are you crying?" a voice said.
Eudial rose her head and noticed the little snail in a fuku 
who was on the bedside table. 
Snail Salad crept on the bed and looked at the witch.
Eudial told her the words of Chronos 
"..and I can't even tell that to anyone! I don't want 
Silver to know that I listened to his and  Chronos' 
words...this is the only place where I can cry!"
She burst up in tears again. 
Snailor Salad climbed on Eudial's shoulder "Come on, don't 
cry. I'm sure that your boyfriend will find Eugeal. You 
won't die..."
Eudial looked at the little snail and bitterly laughed 
"It's strange...I'm about to die and the only person who 
can cheer me up is a snail...However, thank you, 
creeper..."
"Hey, but even I and my family ate that chemical 
substance!!!! This means that I'm in danger too!!!!!"
Snailor Salad burst up in tears.
Eudial sweatdropped. "Hey! I am the one who needs to be 
cheered up!!!"
The snail kept crying and retired in her shell.
The witch knocked on it and the snail showed an antenna.
Eudial grinned "Well, snail, we can't give up so easily. 
Remember we are both senshi. We'll find Eugeal!"
Snailor Salad jumped on Eudial's head "Yes! Snailor Salad 
and Sailor Kurohoshi: a great team!!"
Eudial screamed "Get down of my head!"
The snail looked at her.
The witch sweatdropped "O.K., you can talk, but I still 
don't like snails!!!"


Silver tried to break down the door of Eugeal's house, only 
to find out that it was already open.
He walked into the house, searching for the dubbed witch.
The house looked abandoned and all the lights were off. 
Silver walked in the darkness.
Suddenly, something hit him on the head, making him to fall 
on the floor.
"I caught you finally!" the voice of a girl said.
Silver touched his head "Eugeal? That's you?"
The light of three electric torches were pointed on him, 
then a man's voice said: "Hey! I caught the alien!"
Mulder put on the light of the room and Silver stared at 
him, Scully and Wendy.
Wendy grumbled. "It's only Silver..."
Silver stood up and looked at the baseball bat that Scully 
was trying to hide behind her back. "What are you three 
doing here? Where's Eugeal?"
"What are YOU doing here? I was simply trying to find 
Eugeal to know why is she acting like that, and, as those 
two are FBI agents, I thought they could be of some help!"
Silver looked very sad. 
"Listen, Wendy, I trust you so I'll tell you the whole 
story, but this must be a secret. Never tell this to 
Eudial..."
He told Wendy the words of Chronos.
The girl gasped "But it's horrible!"
Mulder looked excited "Alien DNA?! But it's the same thing 
that happened to you, Scully! Are you going to turn in a 
monster too?"
Everyone sweatdropped.
"However we have to find Eugeal!" Wendy said.
The others nodded.
"Maybe we can help you!" a voice said.
"Creepy!" another voice added.
Everyone turned toward the direction the voices came from 
and they saw Tuxedo Snail and Snailor Chibi Salad.
Mulder looked at them "I knew it! I knew it! Those are 
alien talking snails!"
Everyone ignored him.
Silver took the snails in his hands "Do you really know 
where Eugeal is?"
The elder snail nodded "Of course,  she walked out of the 
door, so she's not in the house."
Silver sweatdropped "Oh, that's a great discovery! But 
WHERE is she?"
The snail shrugged (if a snail can shrug...) "Outside. Not 
in the house. That's all I know: outside."
Everyone joined Silver in sweatdropping.
Only Mulder looked at Tuxedo Snail. 
"The truth is out there" he said.
Everyone fell down.
Silver's eyes filled up with tears "Poor Eudial, her life 
is in danger and we can't do anything to save her..."
Wendy sadly looked at him "Silver, I can understand how are 
you feeling. What happened to Eudial is terrible, but we 
have no time to cry now. We can still save her, we must 
find Eugeal!"
Scully looked at them all: "I've an idea, let's go back to 
the temple!"


Later, in the temple garden...
"So what's your idea?!" Silver asked to Scully.
The woman pointed at the dog who was sleeping under a tree 
"My idea is...Idea! We can use the dog to find Eugeal!"
"Hey! It's true! He can use his sense of smell..."
"But we shouldn't say him what happened to Eudial or he 
could be too upset to find Eugeal..." Wendy said.
"...or he could tell her the truth." Silver added.
"Tell her the truth?! This means that the dog can 
speak!!!!" Mulder shrieked.
Scully glanced at him "It's not important now!"
They called the dog.
He sniffed one of Eugeal's clothes that Wendy found in her 
house, then he began to sniff the ground, searching for her 
smell.
Everyone followed the dog.
Suddenly three enormous pigeon-shaped monsters landed in 
front of them and looked menacingly at them.
Idea yelped.
Silver and Wendy looked at the demon-youma-pigeon hybrid 
who were about to attack them.
Silver turned towards the FBI agents "We'll keep them busy, 
you two follow the dog and find Eugeal. We want her alive!"
Mulder and Scully nodded and ran after the dog.
