In The Name of the Moon

Part Three

Adora sank down by the stream, thinking. The Horde did not have the technology to do this. As Force Captain, Adora had access to nearly all of Hordak’s data, and there had been nothing in the works, or even in the conceptual stage to indicate a weapon like this. The closest she could come was the Magna Beam that She had destroyed as her first act as She-Ra.

Spirit’s whinny brought her out of her reverie. Someone was nearby. "Hey, what’s wrong?" Bow asked, crouching beside her. "Puzzled."

"That’s a good way of putting it." Adora responded. "I can’t think what they are doing. This is a completely new tactic. And where are they getting the technology? There are just so many questions."

"It’s hard. I think we need to go to the village and see if we can pick up anything." Bow offered action as an alternative to sitting around.

"Good idea." Adora got up. "Let’s get the others and take a ride."

The Sailor Scouts were amazed. They had been transported through the light to a strange psychedelic world of pink and purple. They were surrounded by trees that seemed to have blue and pink leaves, and were following a trail of purple cobblestone. "I don’t know where we are," Mercury was saying. "I can’t get any readings on these trees or anything. It’s all very strange."

"I bet there’s a town or something at the end of this path. I hope so I’m starved" Sailor Moon said.

"This is no time to be thinking of your stomach!" Luna admonished her.

"That’s right," Artemis agreed. "We need to find someone to help us out. Let’s see if there’s anything at the end of this path."

"Come on, let’s go!" Jupiter took off, with the rest of the scouts close behind.

Adora and the rebel looked in shock at the scene before them. The village looked like a ghost town. Bodies were draped all over as if the whole of Thaymore had fallen asleep in mid-whatever. "Are they dead?" Glimmer asked, horrified.

Bow stood up from the bodies of a group of children. "No they’re just passed out. What is Hordak up to?" His thoughts were interrupted by the crashing sounds through the forest. As the rebels turned to investigate, five girls came out of the woods. They were dressed in strange outfits, all the same except for the colors. With them came two cats, each with a crescent moon on their foreheads.

"Who are you?" Bow demanded. "What have you done to these people?"

"Hey!" One of them, a blonde with long ponytails and small knots of hair, cried. "Who are you? And where are we!"

"Who are you?"

"I am Sailor Moon! In the name of the Moon I will right wrongs and triumph over evil. And if you’re working for the Negaverse, that means you!" She cried.

"And we are the sailor scouts, sworn to defend the earth and Sailor Moon!" The red-skirted girl chimed in."

Before the rebels could react to this bit of news, a man stepped out from behind a building. "Hello, Sailor Brats. I see that Hordak’s clods have managed to get you here. Welcome to the newest annexation by the mighty Negaverse!" He laughed. "And to you, that call yourself rebels, I’m sorry, all your hard work is about to go to waste!" He laughed as he disappeared in a flash of light, leaving two very stunned groups of people in his wake. He had the energy now to revive Zoycite. Soon this planet would fall.
