I wouldn't say I hate the guy. In fact, he is quite the piece of man meat. Check out the picture to the left. I will wait. :::lalaalalaaa::: Okay, you've had enough time. Looks, however, is not all this guy is. In fact...I heard he's a singer...or something. When I first heard of a Nikolas recast...I promised myself..."No, No NO, Tyler foreverrrr..." shtick like that. And, I've kept that promise. But like...it doesn't really hurt to take a freakin gander at this guy, does it?
I've discovered, that Mr. Scott ain't all that bad. Look at him for one thing. I, for one, am NOT the kind of person to overlook such good looks. Geezus, he's hot. He does, however, look kinda geeky once in a while (chasing after Lizzie, talking to Stefan and Laura, fighting with Jason {when he was around}...chasing after Lizzie, and so forth). But yeah...just once in a while. I personally, think he's a good guy. He's a musician...gotta love the musicians (that's about, 95% of the men I'm attracted to). He writes his own songs. And he's writing a film based on his father's life. As an aspiring screenwriter, that's damn cool, if you ask me.
Now...like I said before. I've got nothing against this guy. I still however think Tyler Christopher is the best and only Nikolas Cassadine there will ever be. And I know that this will follow Coltin around forever...that he is not Nikolas Cassadine. It's sad, when an actor has to fill a role that's already been established by another actor. Of course, things can change, obviously. I just think Coltin hasn't had the chance to grow as the character of Nikolas. The character's just in a little rut right now. But come on...there were TONS of recasts on GH. Take for instance, the dimple-man Wally Kurth. To those who haven't watched the show for that long: He is NOT the first Ned Ashton. Damn, I didn't even know that until 1997. Since he is the only Ned I've ever seen, I'm fine with him. But I've talked to some fans, and they've told me how upset they were over the first Ned leaving. But, they have said that Ned has grown into the character, and on them.
So...what I think? I think Coltin just needs a little growing room, no? He's only been playing Nik since...umm...late spring (?). And I hardly think he's been on much. And all GH does is make his character run around and such, and stick his nose in people's business. That's what you call static (well, for me anyways). For chrissake, all he does is ask if Lizzie wants to see a movie. A movie? Shut the FUCK up. This is complete bullshit. Like we all CARE if they go see a movie. I mean, yeah, maybe if they were going out, and something happened or something. But come ON...a movie??!?!?! Do something FUN...I do, however, enjoy the movies myself. But I like to WATCH it...that's what you do in a movie theater. Ugh, I dunno, I'm going to ditch the movie topic for this moment.
Anyways...enough frustration. What I'm trying to point out is that...Coltin Scott is a good guy. I think he is, anyways. I know I swore I wouldn't put anything that related to recasts on this page, especially, Lucky and Nikolas, but I couldn't resist. Coltin's cool. I think that if we all just give it time, we'll grow to like him.
Don't know about that Jacob Young guy, though...
