What went very very very bad:
Should Juan come back?
Well...I hope you enjoyed this episode of "When Good Characters go bad." Now, let it be known, that good characters that still exist can go bad, but not for long, I say. Once you see a character going bad, though, beware, that this character could remain to go sour until he or she is put out of existance. I hope you've come out with knowledge of what makes a character go bad: whether it's silly storylines or constant whining, it's a sure sign of what's to come.
Thank you....and keep watching those characters!!!!! You never know...they may, at any moment...go BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!
...Two families, caught up in turmoil, a past full of lies and deceit. These two families...the Spencers and Cassadines have had a past that other soap operas drool over. All the pain...all the hurt! The suffering! It's all soo...delicious. But anyway, enough of the fancy talk. The family rivalry had seemed to seep onto the new generation: Lucky Spencer and Nikolas Cassadine. After the secret came about that they were half brothers, Lucky and Nikolas were at odds more than ever. It was bad enough that their hatred existed. But to have, *gulp* a chick come between them? Geezus, that made it worse. Sarah Webber had wandered into the hospital, obviously looking for her grandmother, whom I recall, was in ICU? I forget, but I know she was talking to someone. And Lucky, who seemed to lag around there for some reason, had seen Sarah and went "Oh, I love you!" something lame, basically. He talked to her, was hung up on her. Then the next minute, Nikolas happened to wander by and be all "Oh, I love you!" another lame thing. Next thing they know...they both like Sarah and are kind of competing to get with her. It's all very, very, very, good. The rivalry and the competition to "win" Sarah heated things up.
...This storyline had everything going for it, especially Sarah. The character was great: she came from the Hardy family, granddaughter of both Audrey and Steve. Also, the teen set needed reviving since most of the ex-teens like Robin and Brenda were older now. With Lucky and Nikolas, two good-looking, fighting brothers, a girl was what the set needed. Emily was still kinda like...kiddish, I guess, so they wanted something to spice it up. After that, the addition of Lizzie, to my liking, was great as well. Completed the set. But then...well, in my opinion...the storyline went SOUR. All the kids did was go to school; Lizzie was still pulling "juvenile" type pranks like setting up Sarah with the cheating scandal. Bad, but *yawn* child's play. Nobody cared about what they did. Their storyline was blaah except for the Lucky/Sarah/Nikolas thingie. And now that it's about...hmm, 4 years later, who's still around? Lizzie, Lucky and Nikolas. Sarah didn't quite fit in anymore for some reason. The character really wasn't going the way I think GH intended. And that is WHY the character...went bad, when it was obviously a good idea in the first place.
...I think so. Just for rivalry aspects, you know? I think the whole Gia/Nikolas thing is due for a stirring. I'd just like to see how that plays out. As for Lucky/Lizzie...maybe that could play out too. But with this whole Spencer/Cassadine thing again, it should be put on hold a little bit, then, wouldn't you say?
...Lucky, in his prime, seemed to dig the ladies a lot. Very strange, I'd thought he would remain celibate! Muwahahaaa! Enough of my antics. For a while, there'd be rumors about Gina Cates coming back, but not as Nikki Cox, but as another girl, Stephanie Dicker, a blonde version. Here's the 411: Gina is the sister of Jagger and Stone, and if I recall, she refused to see Stone on his death bed. What a bitch, I say. Robin hated her, and so forth, and Sonny ended up being nice to her anyway. So anyway, she did what every new resident of Port Charles does: gets a place at Ruby's, along with a waitressing job. So in waltzes Lucky, who's aunt Ruby owns the diner and he started going googly eyed over her. Pure Spencer antics. Anyway...guess what? Lucky likes her! Geezus, who'da thought. But then...if I recall...she just vanished. Seriously. Oh yeah, and she was Kevin's assitant for a while. Duh.
...You swear I know. I didn't even know what the hell she was there for. I don't remember why she came anyway. She had possibilities, but I didn't like the idea of a Lucky/Gina pairing. Not because I was desperately in love with him, but also because I didn't like it. Gina was WAY old, so I was like OH HELL NO IT AIN'T GON HAPPEN, OH-KUHY? Thankyou.
...Oh HELL no. She couldn't do much, I don't think. I would say stirr up the romances and stuff, but all for what? She didn't seem to like Lucky "that way" and was just really stringing him along. Anyway, I would hate it. So a big NO from me.
...Jax and Brenda had finally realized that they weren't marrying each other for the wrong reasons, but for the right ones. Jax, who'd only had one true love before Brenda, wanted her more than ever. As for Brenda, who's true love I STILL say is Sonny, was totally over him, as she contended. Anyway, as they were about to walk down the aisle, Jax carrying Brenda down the stairs, an intense Sonny bursts through the Quartermaine front entrance with a smirk on his face. Demanding to know what was up, they both asked why he was there because his ass wasn't invited. As he is about to explain, a woman walks through the door and Jax is about to have a corinary. It's his dead wife....Miranda!!!! She ain't dead after all! So, as you see, there was no wedding that day, and Jax and Miranda were off to go talk. Brenda was pissed as hell and bitch slapped Sonny, which was pretty funny. Brenda and Jax were kinda weirded out and spent time apart. But they still loved each other. Jax on the other hand was occupied with Miranda for a while, until she ended up leaving. For what reasons, I can't remember.
...I think people didn't like the acting stylistics of Leslie Horan. I'll admit, I didn't, so the character constantly irked me. She sounded like she had no feelings whenever it was a crucial moment. Also, J&B fans hated that she was coming between them, but the S&Bers loved it of course, because that would mean that S&B would quite *possibly* get back together. The character was a good idea, hello, it caused a riff between J&B. But it just didn't really go the way it was supposed to, I guess. Therefore, the character just...kinda faded.
...Hmmm....toughy. She wouldn't have anything to come back for. I know Jax is coming back, but he likes Chloe now, so probably nothing would really be all...messed up. Jax loved Miranda way back, so it's still kinda way back. He's still hung over Brenda though him and Chloe were like this *crosses fingers*. But still...I dunno. If she came back, I think I'd have died and gone to wherever the hell it is I'm going.
...Lily Rivera Corinthos and Miguel Morez once had a child, if you must know. It was when they were very young, and therefore, Lily, the daughter of a mob boss, was forced to give up the child for adoption by her father, much to both Lily and Miguel's dismay. They were also forced apart, which sucked too. After a couple of years, Miguel and Lily did find their way back to each other, but eventually parted. Miguel ended up becoming a huge singing sensation in Central America, and Lily, well, ended up in Port Charles. They ended up getting involved with both Sonny and Brenda (SEPerately...) at times when they were broken up. Lily ended up marrying Sonny later on, and Miguel ended up leaving for a tour that seemes to be year round....but anyway. And Lily, well, she ended up being killed in a car bomb pregnant with Sonny's child, a memory he dares not relive with anyone else (Carly, whomever...). After a brief layover, some kid shows up on Sonny's door. And this kid happens to be Juan Santiago, Lily's son! He believes that Sonny is his father, because Sonny once visited him and give him a necklace. Sonny says no, natch, because it ain't true, and once he finds out that his father is Ricky Martin---er, uh...singing sensation Miguel Morez, he's disappointed and leaves. He later on has a romance with Emily Quartermaine, becoming her first boyfriend and first love. He also gets a recording contract with L&B records from filling in for an absent opening act for Eddie Maine.
...My GAWD, this kid could whine like nobody else. Juan was such a good idea in the beginning. He even had PURPOSE, to my surprise. I was so happy. I loved him with Emily, it was so great. I just liked the idea of no Emily/Lucky pairing, so I was pretty happy. I also liked his singing, for a while, but then it got tiresome. I just thought he was really cool at first, but then he started to get jealous for the wrong reasons, like trying to put up a fight with Lucky because he thought there was something with Em and Lucky. And he even got Lizzie thinking it too, the jerk. Then he got all jealous with Zander when there was really nothing there (yet). So, guess what? Juan ended up leaving to go on tour...and Michael Saucedo was out. I didn't want him out, but he was out anyway. Boo!!!!!
...It wouldn't be so bad, I say. If he's on tour like Miguel is, for like, eternity, then no fair. Juan had potential...he could come back at a crucial moment in Zander and Emily's life. I know the prom night will soon be a "night to remember" but then again...what if they end up getting married? Juan could pull a Scotty Baldwin thing at Luke and Laura's wedding. Except, that played out differently. This time, Juan could stop Emily from marrying Zander, if it happens. Weird, yes, but whatever. Oh wait, the whole Jax and Brenda's wedding thing could be played out, like that. Yeah!!!!
