Little Annoyances

Oh come on, Xena fought against Hope's evil eye in Sacrifice 2 and managed to turn the knife towards her. So how come she can't turn the knife on Najara very well? Ok maybe it had to do with her holding a rope with one hand, but this is Xena folks; she has many skills.
When did Xena think Najara changed? I thought it was just Gab.
And what's with the scarf over Gab's head? She didn't wear it earlier until the last scene... why wear it then? Lame.
Greecian Girl Scouts
Ok yet another lame thing was the smoke screen compact. What in the world was that?! But you can't say that Gab isn't resourceful. I guess that scarf is her sash where she can sew on her patches.
