They're back from the dead folks! And we have drugs to thank. Someone must've had some bad crack while writing this one. I've never laughed so much during an episode. It was a mixture of laughter and total confusion. The absurdity of this ep was just too much. But don't get me wrong... it had it's finer points, like the line "Oh nooo! We're going to heeeeeeelllllll!!!!" Hilarious! Oh boy. Suddenly Joxer is an oracle? And he just happens to know they're in Rome? Riiiight. Give me a break, this guy couldn't find his sword on his belt. "Amarice, kill him now. And while you're at it, Eli too." And this isn't Joxer bashing.. in fact I liked him but now it's getting ridiculous. OOooooo.. evil Gab. Too bad she couldn't have stayed evil longer and what was up with the voice? But gotta love her explanation of how Callisto like to watch her family burn cuz it gave her a reason to be such a bitch. Gotta love it! Now I want to know why Demon Callisto forced the food into Gab? You'd think she'd like to watch her suffer. Guess time constraints on the episode made them rush it along. Good to see Charles Mesure again. Though I liked him better as Darnelle in Dirty Half Dozen. Maybe he was just too "good" here. Is it just me, or is Eli just beginning to be really annoying? I think I liked him a whole 2 min throughout his career on Xena. Surprised he didn't call out Abba again; I may have had to start singing Dancing Queen. Sheesh.. doing a lil bit of Star Wars here? "Gabrielle, come to the dark side." But I must admit, the archangel armor is really cool looking. Fashion Do, as opposed to the hideous yellow sari and "let's grow our bangs out" Fashion Don'ts of the fourth season. Though it's nice to see Callisto get redeemed, seeing the whole "I'm gonna get you Xena!" bit was getting old, the new saccharine Callisto may be an even worse fate. Well, this episode sure brought back some religious school flashbacks. I say religious schools since I didn't attend just one type of religious school. And oh my... next episode some kick ass weapons for Xena and Gab and new outfits. COOL!
