Velasca is always falling for the "let's hand her a sword/dagger" trick. Like in The Quest she went for the dagger instead of the mask, which resulted in not getting the mask.
Here, she reaches for the sword & ends up falling in a hole.

The scene of the lava flowing in the pit either looked like it was from a National Geographic film or this
movie I saw with Veronica Hamil, Burgess Meredith, and some other stars. One of those cheesy movies about a volcano on an island
blowing up and all.
