I updated the Dictionary so now there's Fruity Bev pics. Finally put up the commentary on Is There a Doctor in the House?. Unfortunately, it's not a funny episode so I can't really make a humorous commentary. Therefore, it's really short.

Quotes Worthy of Bardliness
You Take the High Road & I'll Take the Low Road:
"Maybe we should take the southern route."
"This is the shortest way to Athens"
"Yes, I know but there's a war going on here."
--Gabrielle & Xena (Is There a Doctor in the House?)
Me & My Big Mouth:
"I've got to learn to keep my mouth shut!"
--Gabrielle (Is There a Doctor in the House?)
I'd Rather Be Dead:
"Nah, they'll keep you alive. You're good slave material."
--Xena (Is There a Doctor in the House?)
Oh Great, Another Red Shirt:
"She's amazing"
"She is beautiful."
"Men."
"Not her, the healing woman!"
"Oh, she's amazing too."
--Hippocrates, Democritus, & Gabrielle (Is There a Doctor in the House?)
Miscellany:
Who's Your Housekeeper, the Addams Family?
I take it Asklepius isn't too keen on housework or he'd get his priests to clean up the place. Why would there be cobwebs on the statue in the healing temple? Not exactly the most pristine environment.
Hmm... Interesting Theory
Seems like Ephiny thinks that by not taking Gabrielle's Rite of Caste, Gabrielle won't die. Not saying that's a bad thing, just interesting.
Yet Another Vocab Lesson from the Bard
From the official dictionary of the Athens City Academy of Performing Bards*:
- Morose
- adj 1. gloomily or sullenly ill-humored, as a person or mood. 2. characterized by or expressing gloom (where does this fit into Xena, you ask? Gabrielle has an Uncle Morose {or was it Merose?}in the Elysian Fields. And it pretty much sums up the atmosphere of this episode)
