I finally got the King of Assassins commentary up. Thank god for reruns, but then again this commentary isn't that good cuz
I just realized I really hated this ep so it's mainly a nitpicky commentary so deal with it. BTW lessoned learned, there is a "The" in the title. Who knew? or more likely, who cared?

Walk Like an Egyptian
Or at least an Egyptian Kiwi style. What was with Pontius' wig?! It looked like a Raggedy Ann/Andy wig, except it was black. And since when did Egyptians wear such vibrant colors? Then again no one in this show should be wearing such bright colors.
When All Else Fails...
I loved the bit where Gab does her Xena impersonations. And if that doesn't work, just staff 'em! But when is she going to learn, that it's best to just stick to the Amazon thing & not try to be Xena. She has her own skills. Oh well.
Why I Hated KOA:an essay by Courtney
Ok it's not an essay, thank god! Actually, when I first saw this ep, I kinda liked it. It wasn't the best, but it wasn't half bad. But for some reason now that I'm seeing it again, I took me forever to make myself write up this commentary.
And it's not because it's a Joxer ep or that it's Xena-lite. I just didn't like it. Maybe it had to do with all the stupid actors they had playing Egyptians. They were just annoying, lame, and obnoxious. Especially, Pontius. The only good Egyptian, (No, it's not a dead Egyptian) was
Cleopatra. Loved her "Kinky" line. Other than that, this thing bites! I apologize to those who liked it. Hey, I even liked it at first, but now it just bugs.
One More Quibble
Just a thought, but when Xena asks Gabrielle why she didn't just tell Cleopatra that she was a target, I found myself thinking, "Maybe because last time she told an intended target it got her best friend thrown into a dungeon." Of course we know that Cleopatra was good guy, unlike Ming Tien, but still. Gab's just a little confused at the moment, sheesh!
