Finally have the Debt I commentary up. It's not very long cuz it's not exactly one of my favorites, but here it is anyway. And for those who don't know, I added Tarot links to the Bitter Suite commentary and 2 more Gab pages.
Quotes Worthy of Bardliness
It Can Be a Vacation!:
"The land that I'm travelling to is as different to our's as night is to day."
"You think that's an argument against my coming? Sounds fascinating!"
--Xena & Gabrielle (The Debt I)
Tales From the Cryptic:
"Ok, let's forget the cryptic part."
--Gabrielle (The Debt I)
It's our motto! What's a motto? Nothing. What's a motto with you?:
"Kill them all."
"Yeah, that's what I said."
"That was obviously your answer to everything in those days, Xena."
--Gabrielle & Xena(The Debt I)
Lil Ol' Me?:
"Please forgive my husband for sending his insignificant wife to handle such difficult affairs of state."
--Lao Ma (The Debt I)
Miscellany:
Indiana Xena & the Kingdom of Chin
Xena does her Indiana Jones bit to the guy with the nunchucks. Kinda like she did in A Solstice Carol using the unicorn.
Chin Kabobs, Anyone?
Evil Xena certainly had a thing for heads on a stick. (as we'll see in Herc's Amageddon Now)
Cool Catchphrase! Can I Have It?
Seems everyone wanted to say "It is not an offer. It is a statement of fact." First Ming Tzu, the Xena, then Borias. I'm surprised Lao Ma didn't when she offered shelter for Xena.
The Wisdom of Lao Ma
- Fill yourself with desire & see only illusion. Empty yourself of desire & understand the great mystery of things.
- Nothing is soft as water. Yet who can withstand the raging flood?
The Things I Do For This Job
Nice little coat of mud to hide oneself from the guards. But why didn't the guard outside hear Xena jumping out of the water? And what was up with those spinning birdcages?!
Yikes! Revenge of the Frock Tarts!
What was that getup Gab was in?! How come she just couldn't wear her normal outfit anyway? Was it some law?
