Here I am all decked out at my dorm's 1999 end of the year party, but I usually look much crappier than this ;o)
Some of this info is a tad outdated... I don't like going on and on about myself, but here goes. I'm currently in Pharmacy school, and will graduate in early June 2006. Some general info:
If I drink too much Mountain Dew or other caffeinated beverages, I start acting like a jerk.
I love to have fun, and some of my favorite activities are watching movies with friends and (if I'm lucky) going to Disneyland. I also love to laugh my butt off and make other people laugh. My oldest friends know that if you give me a lot of sugar and wait a while, the "Brooke show" will start... I once got so hyper I did a Wild-West prospector dance and song for my friend Rick, complete with pick-axe motions and a high-pitched old-guy voice. We still talk about that night... In pharmacy school, some of my friends have brought me out of my shell and I love doing stuff with them and my other classmates! We've also been to many conferences together, mostly in Las Vegas - those are FUN!
I get asked surprisingly often about my genetic heritage. For the record, I'm approximately 1/4 Norwegian, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 German, and 1/4 Austrian, Russian, or Polish (we aren't quite sure). Some of my family members have traced some of the lines back pretty far. For example, the Irish family line can be traced back to the Burgoynes of the (British side of the) American Revolution, and we know WAY back the family comes from the Isle of Man, a big-time Celtic settlement. Also, the Norwegian line has been traced back to about 1300 (how - I have no clue, but we apparently have records).
My dogs are very dear to me - right now at home I have two standard poodles named Rip (below on the right) and Sparky. Sadly, Junior (below on the left) passed away in 2001.
I'm usually shy when I first meet a person unless they're REALLY outgoing. Otherwise, I tend to be easy-going and adapt to the people around me.
I also enjoy goofing around and acting absolutely stupid with my best friend Jennifer (pictured above). One of our favorite things to do is to go to the Renaissance Festival (yes, one of the nerdiest events ever conceived, but still...) and run around giggling like idiots! We've been best friends since our freshman year of high school (where we met) - that was late 1993!
Since I was born, until late 1999, the Beatles were my absolute favorite band, but now I've branched out due to several reasons. You can get the story here.
