A native of Toldeo, Ohio, Sharon graduated with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. She first appeared on-air at The Weather Channel in 1993.
Earlier job positions for Sharon included a prime time weather anchor for WICZ-TV in Binghamton, New York, and a forecaster and weather anchor for WSAW-TV in Wausau, Wisconsin. Prior to joining The Weather Channel. she was a morning/noon weather anchor for WNDU-TV in South Bend, Indiana.
