The episode starts off with Glory and she's not doing well. Suposedly she hasn't feed off someone for a while. Like eat their brains or something I dunno that werid thing she does. Eventualy here two little minions get her someone. Now she is better. Well after Giles hasn't gotten any Info from the Watcher's Council it seems NOW they have info and they aren't calling to give it. Once agian the council is coming to Sunnydale. Well later on the next day when in the magic shop it the watchers come in and gets all the shopers out. Our favorite watcher who fired a beloved Giles during the third season episode "Helpless" Quientin Travers is back and well he says they are ready to give the info but not untill they find out if Buffy and Giles are ready to recive the info. At school Buffy is in class and the professer is lecturing and Buffy gives her thoughts and the prof in my mind wrongfully disses Buffy on her ideas. Later Buffy goes out to Slay to get her frustiation. Well after the buffy just keeps yapping while kicking this vamp's butt. He wonders who she is talking to and soon as she is about to Slay him Spike comes flying in and helps her at the last moment. The two squabble and bicker and Buffy leaves and heads to the shop. Soon as she gets there she sees the Watchers and she is ready to walk back out "Bad day bbaaadd bad." They tell Buffy that she needs to be tested to get the info on Glory. The next day they decide to test Buffy's fighting skills, blindfolded. While protecting a dummy. She doesn't do well at first seeing Travers is using japaness to tell her how to fight while Giles tries to translate for her. Buffy gives up on it and does her own thing and kicks his butt breaking his ribs in the process. But the Ax flies out of his hands and hits the dummy. (that's probably minus a few points) Well then they start interviewing Buffy's friends. Willow and Tara together, Xander and Anya together and oddly interviews Spike too. Well in the Willow and Tara interview. We'll I'll let the quote speak for it's self.
NIGEL: Good. I need to know a little bit more about the Slayer, and about the both of you. Your relationship, whatever you can tell me.
TARA: O-o-our relationship?
WILLOW: We're friends.
TARA: Good friends.
WILLOW: Girlfriends, actually.
TARA: Yes, we're girlfriends.
WILLOW: We're in love. We're ... lovers. We're lesbian, gay-type lovers.
NIGEL: I meant your relationship with the Slayer.
Well once agian Joss knows how to rub it in to all the nay sayers. They continue on and ask about their witchcraft. When they interview Xander and Anya. She tries her best to cover up her demon past. While Xander tires not to seem like a loser. Anya offers this intersting quote of the night.
ANYA: Anya Christina Emanuella Jenkins, twenty years old. Born on the fourth of July, and don't think there weren't jokes about that my whole life, mister, 'cause there were. "Who's our little patriot?" they'd say, when I was younger, and therefore smaller and shorter than I am now.
Anya does her best. When they get to Spike it is interesting one. But it seems the female watcher there did her thesis on Spike. Spike is impressed but then imediatly starts asking how Buffy is doing. Travers tells her that there will be one more finnal test tommrow. She goes home and Finds Glory at her home. Well she doesn't want to fight just find where the key is. I should menchen that one of Glory's goons tried to find out where the Slayer is from Ben. But Ben refuses to tell where Buffy lives. But anyways she asks Buffy for the key she refuses. Dawn comes in, but Buffy tells her to leave. Glory likes Dawn's spunk. Doesn't see the key in her at all. Well later Buffy goes to the shop for the test and well she gets stoped by these odd looking knight guys. After buffy kicks all their butts. She finds out they want to dystroy the Key. Great Glory Wants the key, These knights want to dystroy it and Buffy needs to protect it. Well she gets to the shop and tells them what happened and why she is later. After she explains about the knights some she gives probably her most powerfull and effective speaches ever. Probably the coolest too. Well I'll let the quote speak for itself.
BUFFY: There isn't gonna be a review.
TRAVERS: Sorry?
BUFFY: No review. No interrogation. No questions you *know* I can't answer. No hoops, no jumps and no interruptions. See ... I've had a lot of people talking at me the last few days. Everyone just lining up to tell me how unimportant I am. And I've finally figured out why. Power. I have it. They don't. This bothers them. *Buffy moves back to the table, removing her coat.*
BUFFY: Glory ... came to my home today.
GILES: Buffy, are you-
BUFFY: Just to talk. She told me I'm a bug, I'm a flea, she could squash me in a second. Only she didn't. She came into my home, and we talked. We had what in her warped brain probably passes for a civilized conversation. Why? Because she needs something from me. Because I have power over her. You guys didn't come all the way from England to determine whether or not I was good enough to be let back in. You came to beg me to let you back in. To give
your jobs, your lives some semblance of meaning.
NIGEL: This is beyond insolence- *Buffy throws sword and hits the wall right in front of him*
BUFFY: I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.
XANDER: That was excellent!
BUFFY: You're Watchers. Without a Slayer, you're pretty much just watchin' Masterpiece Theater. You can't stop Glory. You can't do anything with the information you have except maybe publish it in the "Everyone Thinks We're Insane-O's Home Journal." So here's how it's gonna work. You're gonna tell me everything you know. Then you're gonna go away. You'll contact me if and when you have any further information about Glory. The magic shop will remain
open. Mr. Giles will stay here as my official Watcher, reinstated at full salary...
GILES:*cough* Retroactive. *cough*
BUFFY: ...to be paid retroactively from the month he was fired. I will continue my work with the help of my friends...
WATCHER2: I, uh, I ... don't want a sword thrown at me, but, but, civilians, I - we're talking about children.
BUFFY: We're talking about two very powerful witches and a thousand-year-old ex-demon.
ANYA: Willow's a demon?!
PHILIP: The boy? No power there.
BUFFY: The boy has clocked more field time than all of you combined. He's part of the unit.
WILLOW: That's Riley-speak.
XANDER: I've clocked field time.
BUFFY: Now. You all may be very good at your jobs. The only way we're gonna find out is if you work with me. You can all take your time thinking about that. But I want an answer right now from Quinton, 'cause I think he's understanding me.
TRAVERS: Uh, your terms are acceptable.
Tara, Willow, Xander and Anya: *cheers*
And after Traver's starts asking for a drink of whiskey. Before that Buffy asks what she is fighting and the episode ends. here's the last lines of the episode.
BUFFY: Just tell me what kind of demon I'm fighting.
TRAVERS: Well, that's the thing, you see. Glory isn't a demon.
BUFFY: What is she?
TRAVERS: She's a god.
BUFFY: Oh.
