The episode starts off as Buffy and Willow look on in horror at their dresses Anya picked out for them. "I'm Buffy the Bridsemaid, it is my duty" and will complains about wanting a tux for being Xander's Best man. Anya claims this is the happiest day of her life. Meanwhile we get to finnaly see the Harris Clan as we meet Uncle Roary and his Mom and Dad. We get to see they are qutie disfunctional as we imagined. We find out that they explained the demons to the family as Circus folk. Xander says nothing on earth can stop this wedding. He better say not of this earth too as we see a man walking out of a portal on a rainy street of Sunnyd! At the Sunnydale Bison's Lodge it's spiffed up for the wedding and Buffy helps get Xander's Cummerbun on while the two have a tear moment as she says that he and Anya are her light at the end of the tunnel. Tara and Willow begin to flirt some as they help Anya put on her dress. The guest begin to gather as Xander's father and uncle begin to get drunk and D'Hoffryn and Hallie come. We also get to see Clem is part of the festivties and Spike has brought a date. As Xander goes out to meet and Greet the old man from before warns him not to get married. Xander disagrees and then the man say he's Xander from the future. He then shows Xander his future and shows Xander loafing on the recliner yelling for Anya. With his two kids running around. One who has demon parts and the other one normal. Suposedly he threw is back out helping Buffy and that it didn't even help her. Suposedly in this future Buffy has died again and Anya is selling cosmetics. We see futher on that there is more arguing between family and as a old Anya with the present Xander argue over everything and the vision ends right before Xander is about to hit her with a frying pan. Spike and Buffy have akward moments after last weeks break up but the two remain civil and he leaves, as she walks down the isle the confused band plays here comes the bride but then tells the Minster something and walks out and the band plays the exit song and we find out that Xander has bailed. Meanwhile Buffy has to stall and juggles lemons, the warty faced demon tap dances. But the crowd grows restless. Buffy tells Anya that the Minster is a doctor too and he had to leave to stall for time...she calls hima Minidtor and just babbles on. Later on Dawn acidently tells Anya Xander had bailed. Meanwhile the crowd finds out and a huge wedding smackdown happens. she finds "old Xander" turns out Old Xander isn't old Xander but a person she turned into a demon in 1914. She runied his life so he decide to ruin hers. Buffy comes save the day and Anya. Xander and Buffy finish it off by smashing it's head. Xander and Anya talk and get ready again but Xander is not. Xander's fear is that he will turn into his father and have a loveless marriage. Xander leaves and Anya is heartbroken. Though never really breaking up just holding off is the basic jist I got. Later Buffy, Willow and Dawn talk about Anya and Xander. Clearly we see Buffy wearing a shirt that said I survied. Feeling Bad for Anya. While Buffy realizes her light at the end of the tunnel has dimminshed. We see Xander check into a crapy hotel and then later Anya is sitting with D'Hoffryn. He says that maybe she should go back to her demonic ways. With that we see Anya sitting there thinking and the episode ends.
