Once More with Feeling
The big Buffy musical spectacular. One would have no idea what to expect , if it was to be good or really bad. Well we start off we a Previously on Buffy, and low and behold no little thing in the begining no little teaser, we cut to moon with Buffy the Vampire slayer in a retro 50's musical style showing the stars in the moon with their names. Ending with created By Joss Wheadon but no picture.
We come to music and the title of the episode "Once more with feeling" Buffy's alarm clock goes off and we see the Summers house bustling with activity as everyone gets ready for the day with a music overature happening. We goto the magic shop and see Xander and Anya planning for the wedding and Giles takes a book away from Dawn and then Buffy and Giles leave to train. We get to our first number as Buffy goes through a graveyard. "Going through the Motions" she fights some vampires and a demon to rescuse some guy, obvisuly some kind of ritual. She mainly sings about losing her ability to want to live after being brought back from the grave. We come to the next day and Buffy walks into the magic box baffled of why she sang last night. She asks if anything is up and then goes to ask if anyone burst into song. The whole gang kinda in shock and showing that they have too. They eventualy talk about finding out what it might be and burst into "I've got a theory" Everyone has logical theories untill Anya busts in with a little tune about it being Bunnies. Soon Buffy says she's got a theory and we go into another side tune of "It doesn't matter" saying "What can we face if we're together, we'll work it through with in a minuet." And going on that they'll be able to face it seeing they've been through apycolypses and such. After they gointo quirries of if it's just them. Buffy opens the door and to find cameo number 1! Writer David Fury showing his musical chops in a mini song "They've got the mustard out" proving it's not just the scoobies. Dawn comes in going nuts how everything is turning into a musical. Later Tara and Willow say they need to go get more books and at the Park after Willow tells Tara that these guys were looking at her and she joking about being cured. Tara sings "Under your Spell" to willo about being absoultly in love with Willow. Going back to the Summers house and well Tara getting a rise litteraly rising off the bed and floating. Xander abruptly intturupts the song saying that they aren't working. Dawn things the music is great after kinda stealing a pendant. We then before the first commerical see some guy tapdancing and combust into flames as some guy in a red suit stand there watching. Wait is Lorne in town? We come back and the next morning and Xander and Anya's the break into song "I'll never tell" telling their fears about Marriage and such. Right after Anya and Xander complain to Giles about the song and Anya claims it will never be a runaway pop hit. We get to see our 2nd cameo of the night. Marti Noxon singing a parking ticket song to a cop. Very intersting and cool. He tells them about the man who combusted into flames. Later that night Buffy goes to Spike's and he talks about the sights he has seen the past two days and he asks her to leave and then he sings "Rest in Peace" and how he wants Buffy to leave him alone instead of just pump him for info. One of my fav songs of the night it was good. Later Dawn tells Tara about the fight and Tara runs off. Dawn sings a little diddy and some puppet rejects take her. When Dawn wakes up her and the puppets do a little ballet thing as if she is trying to get away. Then the demon from before makes his full on screen appearnce and sings "thats what it's all about" She acidently tells him her sister is the slayer. Wrong Move Dawny. What if she goes around all the time acidently saying oopps my sister's the slayer. Back at the magic box Buffy and Giles train and he sings Standing in the way and how he's standing in buffy's way of growing up. Tara runs in mid song and goes up to the book and after Giles finishes Tara does a reprise of Under Your Spell. That she found out Willow had messed with her memory. Giles comes in and the two sing part of the reprise "Wish I could stay". Spike then brings in one of the puppets and tells the group what happened. Giles says Buffy will go alone. His way of getting Buffy to stand on her own. The whole group Sings "Walkthrough the Fire" kinda like the battle hym for the group in this episode. Another one of my favs. Buffy and Sweet talk once she gets to the bronze and how she will take Dawn's place. She goes into "Life" and sings about well Life. How she hasn't felt the same and the groups gets there as Buffy reveals through song. She was pulled from Heaven, not Hell. Spike Saves Buffy as she is about to Combust into flames. As he finishes up the song telling her she needs to live. Dawn repeats the line from The Gift saying "the hardest thing to do in this world is to live in it" With that we go into more converstation about taking Dawn to his kingdom for his queen seeing she summoned him. Well turns out Xander was the one to do it. Wanting to find out if they'd last. (him and Anya) Personly I wouldn't mind turning the world into song for a day or so, it'd be fun. I can see where he was coming from. Sweet leaves with out his Queen and we go into "Where do we go from here" Spike leaves halfway through and then Buffy follows and we get a reprise of both "Walkthrough the fire" and "Rest in Peace" as Buffy and Spike...Kiss closing off the show with where do we go from here being sung and the curtins close saying The end.
