Andy Gibb doesn’t just make records. He sets records, too. His first and second albums were platinum (that means that they sold more than a million copies). His singles, like “I Just Want to Be Your Everything” and “Shadow Dancing,” are hits all over the world. If Andy gets one more #1 song, he’ll be the first person in the history of music to debut with four #1’s in a row! By the time this magazine goes to press, he may have set that record with “An Everlasting Love.”

Presenting The Handsome And Talented Andy GibbIt’s no mystery where Andy got his talent. His mother was a singer. His father was the leader of a big band. His three older brothers are the famous Bee Gees.
Lots of people had noticed Andy’s talent over the years. But it was Robert Stigwood who gave Andy his big break. Stigwood had been managing the Bee Gees for years. He had Andy record a few sample tapes. In short, everyone loved his style. He went on to record contracts, concert tours, and fame. Andy says he’s “surprised, even shocked” about his success.
Andy is known mostly for his very special voice. He also plays guitar, piano, and drums. His brother Barry gave him his first guitar when he was 12. One year later, he was playing and singing in public! According to Andy, though, that was only his OFFICIAL start in the business. “I’ve always been involved in music.” He says.
In the last 20 years – his whole life – Andy’s done quite a bit of traveling for the sake of music. He’s moved from England to Australia, back to England, on to the island of Ibiza (off Spain), and back to Australia once more. The first moves were because of his brothers’ success. The others, because of his own popularity. Nowadays, Andy lives in Miami Beach and travels to Los Angeles a lot. Someday, he’d like to settle in Australia.
