About Me

Many people have asked how and why I started writing the web page. Way back in 1997 my employer suggested that I learn some HTML, however, the web page that my employer wanted me to write wasn't much fun -- white background, black text, no bright colors. I kept thinking about writing a web page just for fun.

One day I was browsing the web looking for varous video cassettes that I was interested in buying and discovered fan web sites. I thought it would be fun to write a fan web site. My first choice was Bart the Bear but he already had an official web site so I figured he didn't need a fan web site, too. (I didn't know at the time that many celebrities who have official web sites also have a bunch of fan web sites.)

Then I noticed that Eric Roberts didn't have a web site. Many of the links to info about him and his films were 404. What's going on here? I had seen The Coca Cola Kid and didn't see anything wrong with Eric -- why weren't there a whole bunch of web pages just about him?

So I decided to write an Eric Roberts web page. This way I figured that Eric Roberts would have a web page and I could have some fun.

When Eric got an official page, I was going to take my web pages down but decided not to because I enjoy collecting information about his films. I also collect butterfly wing jewelry and dead relatives and spend all of my spare time renovating my house. Lately I've had trouble keeping my web pages up to date. I found out around Christmas of 2006 that I had oral cancer and that has taken a lot of my time and energy. I am currently missing half of my tongue, a bunch of teeth and a piece of my jaw bone. I know what you are going to ask and, no, I don't smoke. Never have.

Here's more answers to questions I've received.

What do you look like?

Sorry, I don't have a recent photo of myself but I look enough like former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright to be her younger sister.

Are you Eric's biggest fan?

I used to joke "In weight maybe." But seriously, I've received email from people who are much bigger fans than I am. If you visit his official web site you will meet some.

Have you met Eric? Do you want to?

No, I haven't met Eric. I don't know if I would want to meet him. We have been going along fine since 1997 -- why ruin it? I have met some other celebrities. I had my picture taken with John Lithgow a couple years ago in NYC and it was a hoot! The photographer told us to stand close together -- closer -- closer and put your arm around him. But John Lithgow is really really tall and I am pretty short so my shoulder was level with his butt! And then the photographer couldn't get both of our heads into the picture at the same time so the photographer had John Lithgow squat down! So he asked me out of the corner of his mouth if I was there because of his book coming out or to see his play. I was just saying that I came to see him because I loved him in Love, Cheat and Steal when the picture taking was over and we were dragged off in opposite directions.

Who are your favorite actors?
