Jan. 12, 2006. Emma has been busy. Aquamarine will be released this spring and I just heard that she is going to be the new Nancy Drew.
Jan. 6, 2005 -- Emma was a guest on The Ellen Degeneres Show and Ellen told her that she looks a lot like Julia. Emma said that people often compared her to Julia but "When I look in the mirror I don't think we look alike at all." Ellen admired Emma's large purse and asked her what she carried inside. Emma dug out a little zippered pouch which she said contained lip gloss, a book, a planner ("Because it makes me feel important"), wallet, cell phone, key, and compact. Emma and Ellen exchanged gifts. Ellen got a gold chain with a tiny diamond pendent like the one Emma was wearing and Emma got a Segway!
In the New York Post on March 8, 2004 -- Julia Roberts brought her 12-year-old niece Emma Roberts to the American Girl Place on Fifth Avenue where Emma fell in love with Samantha Parkington, a doll representing a 9-year-old orphan who gets involved in the women's suffrage movement on a visit to New York in 1904. Now Aunt Julia - through her Red Om Films production company - is turning the doll's story into a movie for the WB Network. Meanwhile, Samantha will be on display at Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Bunny Hop benefit at American Girl Place March 9.
February 21, 2004 -- Eric, Emma and Eliza posed for pictures together at a celebrity premiere of Snow White -- An Enchanting New Musical at Disney Land.
July 29, 2004 -- Emma is all over newspapers and tv this week to do publicity for her new tv show Unfabulous that will air on Nickelodeon. Emma plays Addie Singer is a 13-year-old junior high school student with a talent for song writing. She has a best girl friend, Geena; a best guy friend, Zach; and a very hunky older brother, Ben. Emma will be performing all the music herself but it will be written by professional songwriter, Jill Sobule.
Emma was lovely and poised when she was interviewed about her new show and Aunt Julia this evening on Entertainment Tonight. She's already fielding questions like a pro.
