Ray Kowalski rolled over in the bed and suppressed a groan. What in the hell had he done now? If they ever offered a course "How to Screw Up Your Life 101", he could teach it.
Posing undercover as Ray Vecchio held many unique challenges, but he had thought he had it all under control. Apparently he had been wrong. Sure, in his role as Vecchio he had spent time in the Vecchio home before, for various family parties and dinners and other celebrations, but he had never actually spent a night there before. Until this week.
But when Rosa had gone to Florida to visit her sister and asked him to stay at the house to help keep an eye on things, he couldn't refuse. Not in his role as the "dutiful son". So he had been here for almost a week.
So here he was, staying in Vecchio's bedroom, sleeping in Vecchio's bed. That was weird enough all by itself. He would never have considered bringing a lover into this bed. Until last night.
What in the hell had he been thinking? Well, he hadn't been thinking, obviously. Not with his brain anyway. But he had been feeling down. Lonely... horny. And this golden opportunity had presented itself, and he had found himself unable to refuse it.
He heaved a huge sigh and reached out and shook the man lying snoring next to him. "Hey, wake up."
With an inelegant snort, his companion did. "Huh?"
"You'd better go now. I mean, I don't mean to be a rude host or anything, but if you got caught here, there'd be hell to pay."
"You're right about that." The other man agreed readily. "And this is not something that is *ever* going to happen again."
"Damn straight." Kowalski snapped. Then he realized that he may have sounded a bit harsh. "Not that I regret it, exactly. I mean, it was nice and everything, but I don't think we should push our luck."
"Oh, I agree. If anyone ever found out about this, the fall out would be..." He shuddered.
"Thank you for a wonderful night, though." Ray smiled.
"My pleasure." With a final heartfelt kiss, Tony got out of the bed and walked down the hall to his own bedroom.
