Snapshot #7

The two lovers walked down the street in the softly falling snow. The snow covered everything in a magical blanket of white, and the city seemed to shimmer and take on a glow. The snow had the added effect of keeping most people indoors, so Benny and Ray were free to hold hands as they walked.

"It's a beautiful night, isn't it, Ray?" Asked Ben softly.

Ray looked at his lover's face, rosy from the cold, eyes glowing with happiness, and smiled. "Yes, Benny. Beautiful." Ben blushed, and Ray laughed.

They continued their walk in silence, content in the night and each other's company. All too soon they arrived at their home and started down the front walk. At the top of the porch steps, Ray turned and gazed at his lover in the light.

Ben was not wearing a hat, and the sight of the snowflakes caught in his dark hair made Ray catch his breath. He leaned closer and gave Fraser a kiss, then brushed some of the snow from his hair.

"Benny, don't you know that you lose 80% of your body heat through the head?"

"Yes, Ray." Ben smiled.

"Well, aren't you cold?"

Fraser started to shake his head in denial, then paused. "Well, perhaps a little. Would you happen to know any methods that might warm me up?"

"I just might at that, Benny." Taking his lover's hand, Ray led him into the house.
