Why I, personally, am 'Anti-McDonald's':
Every year, thousands of acres of rainforest are chopped down for cattle to be grazed for the McMoneyMonglers in Central American countries. The people in these countries have basically no choice but to comply because they need to tiny little bit of money that they are paid to do this.
McDonald's paints a great picture for themselves; a real family and fun atmosphere. When all they are really doing is exploiting families. The food is unhealthy and they even LIE about it in their sopposed nutrition pamphlet.
They exploit kids by the "prizes" that are given in the Happy Meal.
They are single-handedly responsible for the murder of millions of animals every year
They don't pay their workers enough. Not nearly. They also don't permit worker's unions.
Their food is CRAP. Go down below and follow the link to read what's REALLY in their desserts.
Most of the restuarants I've had the DISPLEASURE of going to have been filthy.
McDonald's seems to want to dominate and take over the world, what with a new restaurant popping up like every hour. I once read that their is a McDonald's about every 10 miles in the United States.
SO.... So basically, McDonald's exploits: Third World Countries, people, children, animals, workers, the environment and a countless number of other things. Great place.
JUST SAY McNO!
Some McCool quotes:
"I want to apologize for participating in helping to brainwash North America's young people into doing something that I now know to be contrary to the purpose of life." - Geoffrey Giuliano, who played Ronald McDonald for two years for Mcdonalds of Canada.
The reason McDonalds' food is cheap, is because the true costs are borne by their workers, the environment, animals, and the health of the children and others who consume their unhealthy food. - Aaron Koleszar, Island Residents Against Toxic Environments (IRATE)
