Background 

Federation starship, Sovereign class, the sixth ship to bear the name. The U.S.S. Enterprise-E was launched in 2372 under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard and was the most advanced starship in the fleet at that time. The Enterprise-E was almost 700 meters in lenght and had 24 decks. In 2373, the ship was partially assimilated by the Borg.
