One of the sites I'm currently working on (which happened to be my own) went out of control.

It turned out to be much bigger than I've anticipated, and when I realized it's going to take me, at least, two more months to finish it I made a decision to make a sort of, temporary page with the essentials about me and my work
Please note that this site is not listed in any of the search engines and is completely banner free.

So, after numerous requests from fans all over the world, I'm finally posting my picture on the Web.
It was  a cold December day 2062 and of course, I was much younger then, and in better shape, pushing weight and all.  Who was the one that said: "It's not the years. It's the mileage". ? 

This site is a temporary solution until the real one is finished. My frends from Outer would call it a teaser. I don't know how to call it. Image storage sounds quite appropriate.

This is a graphic oriented site. Meaning that its main content are images.
And  images come in all sizes and shapes. Some compromise is neccecary when preparing them for publishing on the web. This is the size/quality compromise, which value can be expressed in pure mathematical form, but I won't do that here.  I'm not good with numbers anyway.

Most of the images you'll see here are saved as adaptive giffs, 256 colors in order to speed the loading process. Some of the images, however, didn't allowed themselves to be compressed that way, so they're saved as JPEG's, and have much better color quality. (and take longer to download).
Giffs are saved mostly as interlaced so that you, gentle reader, don't have to stare into the blank screen while the image downloads. (very handy for those poor souls with 24K, and 16K modems)

In any case, my main point is that it would take some time to download the images, unless you're on cable or ISDN connection. Even 56K modems are fine. 28K is... at the edge.  But anything below that, and you better get yourself some popcorn and crosswords. Or browse this site with your loved ones. You'll have more than enough time to study each others anatomy while waiting.
