This movie seems to be constantly changing direction, cast and crew. As far as it has been made known the movie will be produced by Lions Gate films and Oliver Stone was set to direct if Leonardo DeCaprio would play the lead however Leo's dropped out even with the reported $20 million paycheck and inturn Oliver Stone has waved it bye bye as well. According to most movie 'know-it-alls' the movie is still going ahead but now with Christain Bale in the lead role and with Mary Harron as director. Any of you who have read the book will understand why there seems to be such a controversy surrounding it but as Guinevere herself has said, the movie, rather than being woman-hating, seems to actually show the absurdity of males in society more than anything. Anyway, more news if and when it becomes available.
Just to dispell any rumours...... Guin hasn't been thrown off this movie in favour of Liv Tyler who is to star in ANOTHER movie about Bettie Page which is being directed by Martin Scorcese and currently has the running title of Bettie Page:The Life Of A Pinup Legend. As far as we know, the Bettie Page movie which Guin co-wrote and is due to star in, is currently in development in New York by Christine Vachon the lady who produced Go Fish of course, and is called The Ballad Of Bettie Page.
