_ Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

September 28, 1998. Raccoon City. It's around 11:30pm in Raccoon City, but all isn't quiet as a normal town should be. Chaos reigns in the streets as massive legions of zombies are attacking the townsfolk. Police cars arrive on the scene and open fire on the advancing crew, but to no avail.

Meanwhile, a helicopter drops off its cargo, numerous soldiers armed to the teeth. They attack the zombies head on, completely destroying most of them. But for the ones that die, more show up to take their place. Unfortunately for the soldiers, they are more hostile and show no remorse when they attack and kill most of the unit.

Soon, everything is quiet except for the moaning of zombies, for all police and civilians have been killed. A light rain falls on the bloodied corpses of Raccoon City citizens. Enter STARS member Jill Valentine. After barely escaping from her apartment, she sets forth on her quest to escape from Raccoon City. Along the way she encounters many enemies, and must rely on brute force just to stay alive.

She also bumps into her teammate, Brad Vickers. He has been infected with the T-Virus and tries to warn Jill of danger, but it's too late. Before he can tell her anything, he is attacked and killed by a huge monster named 'Nemesis', created by Umbrella to destroy any remaining STARS members.

With this new threat making her escape more difficult, it seems like Jill's hours are numbered...but she won't give up. While evading the Nemesis, she runs into Carlos Oliveira, a member of the task force sent in to destroy the bio-engineered monsters and rescue survivors. They work together to escape the hellish nightmare and succeed, but not without facing countless dangers and a back-stabbing teammate.

Jill and Carlos manage to fly off in a chopper just before a government-ordered bomb wiped Raccoon City clean off the map. But Jill's fight is far from over. This time, Umbrella has gone too far...


_ Characteristics of Survivors...

Jill Valentine // Ex-STARS Member

The heroine and one of the survivors from RE1, Jill returns in 'Nemesis'. She had just resigned from STARS and was packing up to leave Raccoon City forever. However, her travel plans were cancelled at the last minute when the T-Virus infested citizens overtook the city. She is a specialist in disarming explosive traps and has had training in the US Delta Force. She meets Carlos during her adventure, and I think they fall in love. I hope so...they make a cute couple.

Carlos Oliveira // UBCS Operative

Carlos is a South American UBCS soldier, in charge of security, heavy firearms and mission back-up. He is one of the many UBCS soldiers sent in to contain the virus outbreak and rescue any survivors in Raccoon City. He's not as immature as his demeanor would suggest, and is an exceptional operative with a strong sense of justice. He ran into Jill in Raccoon City and gave her a hand in fighting the Nemesis a few times. Of course, when Jill found out he was with Umbrella, she didn't want anything to do with him. But he won her trust and the two formed a friendship which helped them escape together in the end.

Nemesis // Big Ugly Scary STARS Seeker

This big bad mutha was sent by Umbrella to kill any survivng STARS members (hence the annoying "STARS...STARS" mumbling). He has already killed Brad and now dogs Jill all over town. You can knock him out and snag his Special Items, but you can't truly kill him until the end of the game.

This dude's big, ugly and scary. He can fire a Rocket Launcher and follow you through rooms until you knock him out or run your ass off. With a face that only a mother could love, it's wise to run when you can, unless you want that Special Item really bad. You will face him 8 times throughout the game before the final showdown, so keep an eye on your ammo at all times.

Brad Vickers // Alpha Pilot

This chicken-wuss returns in RE3 in human form. Jill sees him get bitten by a zombie,getting infected with the T-Virus. When you enter the courtyard of the RPD, you see him still alive as he tries to warn you of danger. However, it's too late as the Nemesis jumps him and kills him rather gruesomely. After, the T-Virus took effect and revived him.Now he is doomed to wander the land as an undead abomination until you find him and kill him in RE2.

Mikhail // UBCS Squad Leader

Mikhail is Carlos's UBCS Squad Leader. He is a strong-willed and capable soldier. Having to watch his other teammates die in Raccoon City has ripped a hole in his soul. He tries to make up for it when he sacrificed himself to save Jill by fighting the Nemesis with a high-blast grenade, which killed him in the explosion.

Nicholai // Treacherous Back-Stabber

Another of Carlos's teammates, though not nearly as honorable as Mikhail and Carlos. He's the only one in his squad who knows of Umbrella's true plans, and has killed other UBCS soldiers to keep them from learning the truth. He tries to kill Jill near the end of the game but, depending on what path you chose, he's either killed by Nemesis or you get to shoot him out of the sky when he attacks you with missiles from his chopper (go for the latter...it's more fun blowing that bastard up!).
