IWC Guidelines

INTENT: The original intent of the Iolausian Writer's Circle is to illustrate Hercules' and Iolaus' friendship and brotherly love for each other through the writing of fan fiction and to support fellow members in the continued improvement of our own bardic craft.

*The IWC takes on two types of challenges:*

Episodic Challenges -- These are shorter pieces writing missing scenes and rewriting small parts of episodes that we would like to have seen happen differently. These must be "H:tLJ" episodes, using only a "Xena" episodes in which one of our guys appears.

Whole Story Challenges -- These are challenges to write a whole story that could involve any type of situation you want to place the guys in as long as it follows the Intent of the group.

Any member of the IWC is free to choose which challenges they want to take on. Some may just want to do the "missing scenes/change the scenes" type of writing, some may want to do the "structured theme" type of fanfic writing, some may want to do both.

Deadlines: We no longer set deadlines, instead you may take on any challenge whenever your mood strikes you.

Issuing Challenges: The Challenger has 3 things they must do:

Challenges may be set at any time. Simply email the IWC mailing list with your challenge. If you would like your challenge to be issued to the IWC and then to the general fandom public, then you need to send your challenge to Ceryndip (ceryndip@juno.com) so that it may be added to the current list of monthly challenges issued by the Iolausian Library.

By answering an IWC challenge, the author agrees to allow their challenge responses to be posted to the IWC archive and any authorized mirror sites on the www. Should an author wish to have any or all of their stories removed from the website, they should e-mail the request to this webpage and the request will be complied with as soon as possible. 1
