CHARACTER:

Jayne Cobb - What Jayne lacks in brain-power, he certainly makes up for in muscle power, this ships bad-boy has a brilliant sense ofhumour but is not to be trusted. He does what he does for the money and nothing else, so if a better offer comes along, well, I think Jayne said it best "That'll be an interesting day...".

THE SERIES:

Five hundred years in the future, there is a whole new frontier, and the crew of the Firefly-class spaceship Serenity is eager to stake a claim on the action. They'll take any job, legal or illegal, to keep fuel in the tanks and food on the table. But things get a bit more complicated after they take on a passenger wanted by the totalitarian Alliance regime. Now they find themselves on the run, desperate to steer clear of Alliance ships and the flash-eating Reavers who live on the fringes of space.

GENERAL FACTS AND STUFF THAT DOESNT FIT ANYWHERE ELSE:

Adam Baldwin's character "Jayne Cobb" has his own song which featured in the episode "Jaynestown". It is called "The Hero Of Canton" and is performed in the show by Ronald Craig Williams. Adam also performed the song on the 'Firefly' series DVD.

Adam decided to make his character very tactile, and it shows - in the show he is always touching things and interracting with the props.

Adam based his character on the performances of Eli Wallach (The Good, The Bad And The Ugly) & Warren Oates (The Wild Bunch).
