Adam Baldwin, 26, began his movie career while still a student at New Trier High in Evanston, Illinois.,After director Tony Bill cast him in the title role in "My Bodyguard", he never resumed his days of science classes and pep rallies. Adam's schedule soon included: Reckless, D.C. Cab, Ordinary People, and the role of Animal Mother in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket. Kubrick hand-picked Adam over 4,000 other hopefuls. Full Metal Jacket was his most demanding film to date. "It was just like fighting a real war for a year, except for the fake bullets, but I'd do it again". He is currently shooting Next of Kin, back on the familiar streets of Chicago.

Adam's intensity as a young actor shows in the roles he has played. But there's a lighter side to him that we, the fans, do not readily see. He'd like to play a romantic lead once in a while. He loves nature shows - "I tape all the nature shows on PBS...." He thrives on playing ice hockey, "Hockey is so un-Hollywood".

This is the same guy whose dream car is a 731i, dark blue BMW. "This is probably natural for someone who already owns a 325i", says Adam. His latest hobby: golf. The main purpose for a car? To get to the golf course on time!
