My Love

I haven't decided yet whether I want to write to you a love letter or a lust letter or something in between. I think too much. I underestimate you always. Just when I think I have an idea of who you are you go farther in surprising me.

I cannot resist your beauty. I respond instantly and magnetically to your thoughtful glance, to your easy strength, to your body naturally at work and pleasing you electrifies me, melts me, shakes me, makes me want to cry.

It was your dreams that made me fall for you, your love for the world, your desire for experience, your sharp intellect and soft tenderness. And now that I have taken a few steps on the road to getting to know you, I don't think I could turn back even if I wanted to. And I have wanted to. I have been frightened by the intensity of knowing you, but we must trust each other to walk this road together. I want you to hold me gently in the stillness, to grip me tightly in the dizzying turns.

For the overwhelming peace of falling asleep in your arms and waking up to your touch I will do anything.
