As the sun falls from the sky,
darkening the light of the day once there,
I gaze through the window thinking.
Thinking of the love that once was there
the love of you and I, but not forgotten.
Watching the stars shine I remind myself of the first time I looked into your everlasting eyes. Your instantaneous smile as you look away and once again glance upon me. Your voice whispering through the air touching my soul as I could not resist to be at your presence, by your side. At that moment I felt I had dreamt you into life, for this was good to be true. I place my hand upon my heart reminiscing the touch of your hand embraced in mine upon my heart as I held your heart inreturn. The soft tenderness I can never forget the beat of your ticks within my mind, like a clock of eternal time. I rememeber the nights of sharing dreams reaching out to the stars as if they where ours. taking them into our souls as we embraced into a loving kiss. Your dreams were as pure as your heart I remember, bringing life to everything you pass, bringing happiness to everyone you see. I miss that in you, I miss that in me, I miss that in us. Yet I know you are there in my heart as you always were. Occassionaly I dream of you reaching from the stars above to wrap your arms around me once again. I hold on to those nights. I hold on for you are the love unforgotten. |
