Reviews

These reviews are the opinions of myself and not any know music critic.  As a Louise fan you could call my opinions biassed, but I'll try to be objective so that anybody who reads this and doesn't have the albums will be able to get a good idea of what they are like.

NAKED
This was Louise's first, and in my opinion, best (although that may change when Elbow Beach is relesaed) solo album.  NAKED is a blend of slow ballads and up-beat pop tracks combined in equal messure to great affect.  Its one of those albums you can stick on and just chill out to and there are no tracks that are poor enough to want to skip.  Overall score for the Album - 8/10

Track 1 - Naked
A great opening track.  An up-tempo pop track with raunchy lyrics (and video)Only reached number 5 in the charts but should have gone higher.  Score - 8/10

Track 2 - In Walked Love
Another single release that should have done better than its numer 17 chart placing.  A very vocal song that gave her the chance to show off her beatiful voice.  Score 7/10

Track 3 - Light Of My Life
A slow ballad that Louise used to launch her solo career.  Again it is a song that shows off her voice and showed Eternal what they were missing.  Score 8/10

Track 4 - Best That You Bring
Almost had the potential to be released as a single but I don't think it would have gone down to well.  The lyrics are not the best and the melody is a bit samey.  Score 5/10

Track 5 - One Kiss From Heaven
One of my favourite Louise songs.  A very slow but sweet ballad that is great to just chill out to.  Score 9/10

Track 6 - Thinking About You Baby
Lacks something.  Not great in the lyrics department and is a bit cheesey on the whole.  Score 5/10

Track 7 - Discussions
I thought it was a bit of a stinker when i first heard it, but it definitley grows on you.  It has a good beat and the vocals are good.  Score 6/10

Track 8 - Undivided Love
One of her best.  Good lyrics, melody and beat and the vocals are flawless.  The video is good as well so if you get the chance to watch it, do.  Score - 9/10

Track 9 - Back To Love
I like this one.  Its not something releasable as a single but is something that avid Louise fans would appreciate.  Score - 7/10

Track 10 - Never Too Late
A bit of a depressing track but the vocals are top notch.  A lot of emotion comes through and you can tell it's a heart-felt song.  Score 7/10

Track 11 - Goodbye To Love
A bit too 'bouncey' if thats the word.  The lyrics are not the best on the album and the beat is a little annoying.  Score - 5/10

Track 12 - Thats The Way I Like it
Could have been a single in my opinion, but it probably wouldn't have been a top 20.  I like it though and the beat is good.  7/10

Track 13 - I'll Fly Away
Another good demonstration of Louise's beautiful voice.  Combines a pop beat with lyrics that would not be out of place in a ballad to make a good album track.  Score 6/10

Track 14 - I Gave You My love
A nice round up track.  Nothing special but it gives her the chance to finish the album on a mellow note and the beat kind of sticks in the mind.  Score 6/10
