The Needham Channel has taken on three new interns Spencer Brown, D.J. Sheehan, and Jake Toplitt. Though only freshmen at Needham High School, they have shown tremendous talent in announcing and videotaping basketball games. Look for these three to go places in the years to come.

As of March 9th we're moving to Channel 9 to make room for the new MediaOne Regional Channel. Look for new logos and PSAs to accompany the change.

In celebration of Black History Month,Inside Talk with Judy Shapiro had on two talented African-American women artists, DeAma Battle and Kathryn Woods. Both help to educate the public on the rich culture, art, and history of African-Americans.

February's edition of Western Exposure showcased Ed Dwight. Ed is an old friend of Ed Unser's from his airforce days, and was number one in line to be the first African-American astronaut until President Kennedy's Death on November 22, 1963.

Everybody Folds Something has just completed its 118th and 119th show. If you haven't seen the show you'll be amazed by what Dottie Tolini can do with paper.

Clelia's Cucina Italiana is still cookin', and we're looking for volunteers who are interested directing the show. If you'd like to learn how to direct van shoots let Josh or Andrew know, they'll be more than happy to train you.

OnScreen can now been seen on Newton Public Access, and has developed a pretty good following there. Nice going Belle and David!

Scott Stevens, the long time voice of the Needham Rockets, has left us to spend more time with his growing family. We wish Scott the best of luck, and would like to thank him for his years of dedication to the Needham Channel. We'll miss you Scott.

Judy Shapiro celebrated 10 years on Inside Talk this past winter. On the show were highlights of the many memorable guests such as Governor Cellucci, and Thomas Menino.

This past year has seen many staff changes. Peter was promoted to Quality Assurance, where he has had great success in putting forth training programs for MediaOne staff. Tommy G. is now at our Regional Studio in Lawerence as a Facility Coordinator. Tommy has designed new Hawaiian themed uniforms for the regional staff which has been embraced by the president of MediaOne.
