Getting Away With Murder (1995)

This blackest of black comedies has Aykroyd as an ethics professor who discovers that his elderly neighbour (Jack Lemmon) may be a Nazi war criminal. He becomes involved and various twists and turns (too juicy to describe here) thus take place...

Bunn - I regret to say I haven't seen it, although on the strength of what Dave says I'm almost glad I haven't.

Dave - Oh what a wasted opportunity - this could have been so good and yet it was butchered to death. The potential was for a really black, vicious film yet instead it became a fluffy little comedy. Sure it's offensive, not for the way it depicts the plight of the Jews during WW2, but because it is just so crap. Possibly Aykroyds worse, and it features the arse faced Lilly Tomlin as well, is there no end to my suffering?
