Well did your fans get what they wanted?? •Errm ,.... my friends Lance, Joey, JC and Chris and I try to be there for everybody. If possible we give out autographs. We don't want to be ghost artists who don't have contact with their fans. Take the BSB for instance, as a fan you can't come near to them, unless you have won a contest. That's bad! We handle it differently. Some fans want of course the impossible. The want a one night stand with me. It's them we have to disappoint. Don't forget that my mom Lynn goes everywhere with me! I'm only 16!! She’s still watching over me like I’m her baby. I don’t even have to think about sneaking a girl into my room! •Just as guys: Have you had many loves?? ! •NO! I'm not a butterfly ! I was 13 when I had my first real kiss. Mindy was a girl who also worked at the Disney Studios. Then one day one of our friends had a birthday party and then it happened. It was like there was nothing else in the universe but us. Too bad it only stayed by that one kiss!! •But I take it there was not just one girl!!! •I never had the chance to. You have to know that ever since I was 12 I had a private teacher and at that age I started hosting the 'Mickey Mouse Club'. It may sound unbelievable, but ever since I've had a totally different lifestyle than most of the other kids my age. I was usually surrounded by older people. And according to them girls didn't belong in my life. I have to admit, nice is different. The first few years it was easy for me to suppres my feelings, but after a while I started getting quite pissed off. But by chance I all of a sudden got -just in time - I found someone. •??????????? •The producers of the ' Mickey Mouse Club' gave a huge party. Danielle was a viewer who had won an invitation. We got on right from the start. I was head over heels in love. She was my first ( big) love, eventhough we never got intimate. For I am still a virgin. •For how long were you two together? •Nine months! At the end of '95 it was over. I had made a terrible discovery. She cheated on me with someone else. That's when my world ended for me. You cannot image how hurt and disillusioned I felt. I never want to be humiliated like that anymore. That's why I am determined never to commit ever again. You should have seen me when my best friend told me. I thought by myself:' If all girls are like that then I don't want it anymore!' Nevertheless I tried to forgive her. But she didn't want me anymore and she broke up. I surely had 6 months to get over it. Whoever has been in the same kind of situation knows I have been through hell. I’m very scared to have to go through that again! Fortunately some time later I started 'N Sync with JC, Joey and Chris. Which healed the pain. Thanks to 'N Sync I've other things to think about. •Being so famous must be the greatest thing in the world, no? •My whole life I've dreamed about this. As a child I wanted to become a basketbalplayer like Michael Jordan or become a singer. One wish is already fulfilled, though for the other one I still have to grow. Since I'm 1.83m I'm too short for a professional basketball-team. Just wait until I'm grown up!!! ( starts cracking up) •How was your childhood, up to now? •Everything except normal. We still lived in Memphis ( Tennessee) when I took part in talentshows. When I was seven I played lead roles in plays. And when I was 12 , I got that in that fantastic Disney opportunity , where I was talking about just now. My mom and I then moved to sunny Florida. In the mean time my parents got divorced, which I never thought of as a handicap. Because my mom is such a great woman I had an exiting childhood. Which other guy my age get these kinds of opportunities. At the Disney Studios I was able to prepare myself as a singer and a dancer. My life is like a fairytale. Daily I receive about 500 fanmail letters. And with 'N sync doing so great I get even more. It feels great to be liked. I only have to overcome my doubts, and I have to forget that hurting memory and start all over again and then the world is mine!' *Other Justin Facts...* Seventeen-year-old Justin is the baby of the band but he's also the most stylish. "There's a shop called Just For Men in the States which sells suit jackets and real smart stuff, I like to shop there." But smart gear isn't all that Justin's into. When he's hanging out with his friends you'll find him sporting off in some pretty casual clothes. "The guys call me Mr. Smooth cuz I want to buy a suit while I'm in England. But I'm really athletic so I've got loads of sportswear too - including 20 pairs of sneakers!!!" So where does this sexy-guy take his fancy females? "I'd probably take a girl out for dinner and then on to a party at a friends house." Tell us about yourself: "I was born in 1981 which makes me 17; the youngest. I'm originally from Memphis but right now I share a house with Chris, JC and my mom in Orlando." Likes and dislikes: "I love basketball and whenever I have the chance I play like crazy. I'm also a bit of a shopaholic, and collect North Carolina basketball gear. I hate snakes, fake people and my curly hair!!!" Biggest musical influence: "Stevie Wonder, he's incredible." Best thing about being in a band: "Being able to make music, meet people and travel." Have you ever been in love? "No, I've been infatuated and had a few crushes. I'm not waiting for it to happen but I won't run away when it does!" Who would you have a One 2 One with? "Michael Jordan, my idol and one of the biggest achievers. I'd start off by asking him why he quit basketball and well, we'd just carry on from there." Getting along: "Sometimes we get on each other's nerves though," says Justin. "We argue about hairstyles, clothing, who gets to talk to a girl first... Joey always wins that one. He's definitely the flirt of the band."
